Happy Good Friday guys! Remember what the real holiday is about! For the next few days all the verses will be about the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus! Enjoy :)

Today's verse: Luke 23:34

NIV: Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

New century version: Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing."

Meaning: Good Friday is the date of the crucifixion and death of Jesus. We call it "good" Friday because of the amazingly "good" things Jesus the almighty did for us. He freakin died for us! You can't get any more "good" than that! Some people tend to forget the meaning of the holiday and think more about "The Easter Bunny" and candy and such. Today's verse in one of the " 7 Last Words of Jesus." This is His word of forgiveness. In this verse it's Jesus talking to the Heavenly Father about forgiving us. Not many people believed Jesus and they didn't know what they were doing by killing Jesus. If they had realized it was actually Jesus, do you really think they would have crucified him?

Take action: I know it's pretty easy to get caught up in all the holiday, candy,Easter bunny hype. One of the biggest things I can't stress enough is the real meaning of the holiday. After reading today's post I hope you all gained a clearer meaning of Good Friday and Easter. The best thing you can do is to take some time to just think about what happened and sending a little prayer thanking Jesus for what he did for us.

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY GUYSSSS
GOD BLESS<3
