NIV: yet I will rejoice in the Lord,

NCV: But I will still be glad in the Lord;
I will rejoice in God my Savior.
Meaning: I chose this verse because it was specifically about rejoicing in the Lord! So after weeks of waiting, Taylor, Katie, and I finally got accepted into the Christian camp we had applied for back in January! It was a long anxious wait but it was totally worth it! Now we will get to spend part of our summer teaching othersabout God and having a ton of fun! :)
Rejoicing in the Lord gives you such a great feeling. Honestly it is like you cant stop smiling and the heavens above are just dacning with you. We are to rejoice in the Lord through good things and bad things. Everything we are to do should be in the Lord our God. This verse reminded me of the parable in the bible where the son took all of his enherance from his father very early and he went and spent it ll unwisely. He decided to come back to his father to ask for mercy and instead of just mercy, his father threw a huge party for him to celebrate him coming home. Even though all of the money was gone, his father was overjoyed to see him, and he praised the Lord for it.
The other night my youth at my church had a girls and boys night. So the girls went out for dinner and then went back to a leaders house for more food and just hangout. We played some games and it was the best time i've had in such a long time!!! Hanging out with other christians where you can just laugh and have fun together is such a great time! I encourage all of you to join a youth group like that so you can make more Christian friends!
