I've had a really busy day and almost forgot to post so I'm throwing this together at like 11:30 at night! I'm sorry if it's not the greatest! I'll make up for it, I promise.

Today's Poem: I Told God I Was Angry by Jessica Shaver

I told God I was angry.
I thought he'd be surprised.
I thought I kept hostility quite cleverly disguised.

I told The Lord I hate him.
I told him that I hurt.
I told him that it isn't fair,
He's treated me like dirt.

I told God I'm angry
But I'm the one surprised.
"What I've known all along" he said,
" you've finally realized."

"At last you have admitted what's really in your heart,
Dishonesty, not anger,
Was keeping us apart.

Even when you hate me,
I don't stop loving you.
Before you receive that love,
You must confess what's true.

In telling me the anger,
You genuinely feel,
It loses power over you,
Permitting you to heal.

I've told God I was sorry,
And he's forgiven me.
The truth that I was angry,
Has finally set me free.

Meaning: Sometimes we all feel like the world is too much. We get stressed, upset and angry. These things are something you must confess to God, even though he already knows it! Like the person in this poem, it was their worldly problems and not being honest that kept her from God. When you admit to things, as hard as it may be, it's those things you admit to that allow you to be free. God is verrrry forgiving, but you just gotta put the little effort needed to confess to him. This poem also talks about Gods passionate unfailing love for us. We all may get down and mad at God for the situation he's put us in. But even when we hate him, he still loves us. It's never good to try to hide things guys! You can tell God anything, he's the best listener! Because, well frankly he already knows everything! I can't stress enough how important constantly having an open conversation with God is. Confess to him everything and believe me, you will feel great!

It's really late now here so in gonna go to bed! Goodnight/good morning where ever you are! Where are our readers from? Let me know in the comments below, I'm just curious! God bless you all!!!
