Tony Stark and his son are VERY competitive. Well Tony more than Peter, it was family game night aka the night of all horror, smack talk, and board flipping rage. Personally I hate family game night one time my family and I played monopoly junior for two hours straight and no one won. (True story.)
So everyone split up into teams. Team Iron Man consisted of the team captain Tony with Rhodey, T'Challa, Natasha, Loki, Thor, and Vision, while team Captain America was obviously led by Steve with Wanda, Clint, Scott, Bucky, Sam, and Peter. They were drawn at random and no one could switch teams otherwise that would've been cheating.
The games each team were gonna play were; Heads Up, HangMan, Charades, Chess, and one second song. So far the scores were even the only game that was left was chess the only people that have played chess are Peter, Tony, and Steve. Except Steve already played against Rhodey in hangman so it was Peter's turn against his father of all people.
Peter's palms were sweaty, knees were weak, and arms were heavy. He knew his dad was super competitive Peter was also competitive but not as much as Tony was. His ego grew twice the size it was before they started family game night. So as Peter sat in front of Tony his team were sending words of encouragement.
Tony smirked, "Just so you know kiddo don't take it personally when I beat you." Tony was somewhat joking.
"Yeah and if I win that smirk will be wiped off your face, so bring it on dad." Peter whipped back.
The game lasted almost an hour and moves were made and it looked like Tony was winning. "C'mon Peter you know you're gonna lose you could just forfeit."
"We Stark men are made of Iron there's no way I'm losing also..." Peter trailed.
"Checkmate." He said, Tony couldn't believe his eyes his son just beat him at chess, which was the final game of the night. Peter smirked, "So what was it you were saying about beating me?"
"Because it looks like you just lost to a sixteen year old, must hurt your pride doesn't it?" Peter asked.
"I guess all is fair in love and family game night." After a long night of chaos and friendships being absolutely demolished everyone went to sleep some in defeat and some in victory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
