Harold was a true gem. From the moment you met him, you saw the spark of potential in Harold that others often overlooked. His quirky sense of humor and impressive knowledge of all things geeky fascinated you. However, it seemed like the rest of the contestants were determined to belittle him at every turn.
Today was the talent challenge and Harold told you he planned to beat box. You were excited and saw this as his chance to shine. He was gifted at music, and he had a gift that everyone deserved to see.
"You're gonna do great, Harold!" You exclaimed, as he practiced with you by the beach. "We'll prove those campers wrong."
Harold chuckled, moving closer to you, "Thanks, Y/N. I'm trying to not be overshadowed again."
You nodded, then watched as he continued to practice. You smiled to yourself, knowing he was going to win this challenge for your team.
Soon after, you and Harold went to meet the Killer Bass to audition for the talent show. Harold was up next and he was about to beat box. You smiled in anticipation, but to your dismay, Courtney cut him off before he could showcase his talent.
"Next!" She glared at him.
"Gosh!" Harold exclaimed, moving away from the crowd. You could see the disappointment in his eyes and it triggered a surge of anger and protectiveness within you. You decided to step up and defend him.
"Hey, Courtney, what's the rush? Harold deserves a fair chance to audition, just like everyone else," You said firmly, your voice laced with conviction.
Courtney rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, clearly unimpressed. "Oh, please. We all know Harold doesn't have any real talent. We're just wasting our time here."
You took a deep breath. "Courtney, you may not appreciate Harold's talent, but that doesn't mean it's not valid. He's worked hard on his beatboxing skills, and I believe he deserves a platform to showcase them."
Duncan, who had been observing the situation from a distance, stepped forward, a mischievous grin playing on his face. "Hey, if Y/N thinks Harold's got talent, I say we give him a shot. It'll be entertaining, at the very least."
Courtney huffed, clearly outnumbered. "Fine, have it your way. But don't say I didn't warn you."
As the tension lifted, you smiled at Duncan, grateful for his unexpected support. Taking Harold's hand, you walked to the center of the grass, facing your teammates.
With a deep breath, Harold began his beatboxing routine. The campers were captivated, their initial skepticism replaced with surprise and appreciation.
As Harold's performance reached its peak, the campers erupted into applause and cheers. You clapped the loudest, a mix of pride and adoration shining in your eyes. This was Harold's moment, and he had seized it with all of his talent and determination.
Harold enveloped you in a hug, "Thanks for believing in me, Y/N."
"Of course." You smiled, your heart fluttering from the hug.
The talent show came and it was a disaster for your team. Bridgette threw up everywhere, Courtney was injured and the rest of your team lacked a lot of talent. Courtney didn't want to admit it, but she knew Harold had been shining the whole time.
Courtney swallowed her pride then approached you and Harold and asked Harold, "Can you do it?"
You gave Harold an encouraging smile and he nodded then went on stage. You and Courtney sat together in excitement and nervousness, waiting for Harold to beatbox.
Harold began his performance but this time, instead of just the Killer Bass being captivated, it was the entire camp. The Screaming Gophers were shocked at the supposed nerd having a gift for music.
When the applause finally died down, Chris, the show's host, approached the stage, a smirk on his face. "Well, well, well, Harold, I must say, that was unexpected. Looks like we've got a hidden gem among us."
You beamed with pride as you saw Harold grin back at you, your heart swelling with joy and pride as he winked at you. He had proved everyone wrong, and you couldn't have been happier for him. He had won the challenge for his team, and you couldn't wait to celebrate with him.
Later that night, you and Harold were sitting outside your cabin, deep in thought. Harold cleared his throat then spoke up first, "You know, I always wondered why you stuck by me. I'm not the most interesting person."
You smiled at him and said, "Well, you have potential, Harold. I see a true gem within you. You're one of a kind and I wouldn't change a thing about you."
Harold blushed and tried to hide his smile, "Is it true that you like me?" He laughed a little, seeing you flustered and continued speaking, "I can be very observant. I do like you too, Y/N."
You smiled and looked down, "I-I like you too." You didn't realize that you were so obvious about your feelings for him until then. You hoped that he didn't mind that you were so open about your feelings.
Little did you know, Harold didn't mind at all. In fact, his feelings were growing stronger for you every day.

It was now two years later and you and Harold's relationship was going strong. You didn't participate in Total Drama Action, but after Harold left the show, he joined the Drama brothers with Trent, Cody and Justin.
As the days went by the Drama Brothers, started gaining popularity. Their energetic performances and catchy songs had fans cheering for more. However, not everyone was thrilled about Harold's new venture, especially Duncan, who still enjoyed messing with Harold.
One evening, at a local music venue, the Drama Brothers were about to take the stage for a sold-out show. Backstage, Harold was feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. He knew the crowd was expecting a great performance, and he wanted to deliver.
Duncan approached Harold with a smug grin. "So, Harold, you finally found a way to be even more of a loser? Joining a band? Seriously?"
Harold's smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure. "Hey, Duncan. Yeah, I found something I love doing, and I'm proud to be a part of the Drama Brothers. We're working hard and having a blast."
Duncan rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Yeah, well, I guess it's better than being a dweeb who can't even win a reality show. But seriously, bro, a band? You're just embarrassing yourself."
You stepped forward, your voice filled with determination. "Duncan, that's enough! Harold has found something he's passionate about, and he's putting himself out there. That takes courage and talent."
Duncan crossed his arms, a smirk playing on his face. "Oh, so you're his little cheerleader now? Can't handle the truth, huh?"
Your eyes narrowed, your voice firm and unwavering. "No, Duncan. I'm Harold's girlfriend, and I support him in pursuing his dreams. Unlike you, who seems to thrive on bringing people down. If you can't find anything positive to say, maybe it's best you keep your mouth shut."
Duncan's expression faltered for a moment, caught off guard. He muttered something under his breath before turning and walking away, his attempt at provoking Harold unsuccessful.
You smiled then hugged Harold, "Don't listen to him."
"Y/N, there's something I want to confess. I want to leave the band."
"Leave the band?" You asked, confused and worried. "Why?" You hoped it wasn't because of the bullying he still faced with Duncan and the other contestants.
Harold explained, "I want to go solo and make an album about beatboxing. I feel like I'm being overshadowed."
You nodded, "I believe in you, Harold."
"You always do and I wouldn't have it any other way. Your support means the world to me. Let's go out there and show them what we're made of!" Harold told you, bringing you into a kiss.
So with that, Harold made the decision to leave the band and pursue a solo career as the "H-bomb."
You both were uncertain of the future of his new career decision but one things for sure was, Harold is a true gem - a gem that was hard to find. Whatever challenges you may face together, you would be there to support him through it all.
