"It is still beyond me how you can decorate a cake so well," Sunoo shook his head as he leaned his arms on the kitchen counter, whilst watching me finishing decorating the second birthday cake within two days. Yesterday we had celebrated Sunghoon's birthday, where I had decorated the cake, and today it was Niki whom we were celebrating.

"Is he awake yet?" I questioned looking up at Sunoo who shook his head at me, before I laid the piping bag down, "well... then lets go," I urged and picked up the plate the cake stood on, "I swear if this cake is getting knocked over too, then I'm not decorating any more cakes."

"Not even mine?" Sunoo complained to me with a small pout and I shook my head at him before we walked out on the hallway to where the other boys stood waiting for us outside the bedroom's closed door.

"They just keep getting prettier," Heeseung said as he stepped closer to me whilst adamiring the cake.

"No, no, no. You keep a distance from the cake until it is standing on a table," I warned him as I moved the cake away from him, earning some laughter from the boys.

Jay quickly counted us down and we all rushed into the bedroom whilst singing a birthday song for Niki. Most of us had spent the whole morning learning it in Japanese for him, which was quite a good idea, seeing as how big Niki's grin was once he finally had woken up and realized we were singing in Japanese.

After having woken him up, and him blowing out the lights on the candle we had all returned to the kitchen where Jay had prepared breakfast and we all had sat down to eat. It was all fun and games as Niki opened our presents, all up till Heeseung's phone rang.

"Ah... okay," Heeseung nodded before placing his phone on the table and putting it on speaker.

"Is everyone gathered?" our manager questioned from the phone.

"Yes," we all replied together.

"Birthday brunch for Niki," I reasoned.

"Ah... how nice," our manager spoke up and we all hummed in agreement as we all smiled at one another, "well... you see, I'm calling since it's come to our attention that a staffmember that you've all been exposed to on a show have been tested positive for covid. We haven't been advised to test you, but we'll do it anyways for safety purposes."

Everyone seemed to pause at what they were doing and looked at each other with hesitant eyes.

"Uhm... may I ask if... do you know... what about me?" I questioned as I laid down my chopsticks and it went completely silent on the other line.

"Right, Jiyeon," our manager sighed, "a car is coming to pick you up in about ten minutes. We expect you to have a bag packed by then. You'll be rushed in for an emergency test at the hospital, and then you'll be staying there until the boys have been told they're negative. If you are positive you'll have to stay for an unknown amount of time, until you're negative. If any of the boys are positive that boy will be sent away to self-isolation, and you'll return to the dorm again. For now we'll have to seperate you from them."

"I see," I muttered before looking down at my plate.

"I just need to know, in your case. Have you had any symptoms lately?" our manager questioned and I hesitated a bit.

"I have had a headache, but I thought it was just due to the schedule," I admitted and he hummed.

"Be ready in ten minutes, we'll work on getting you all back in the dorm in no time," our manager assured and I hummed at him before he ended the call.

"Noona," Niki looked over me with sad eyes and I immediately smiled over at him.

"Hey, it's fine, you know that right? If any of us were positive I would've ended in the hospital long ago," I assured him with a wide smile, "It's probably just two days and then I'll be back," I reminded him before standing up from the table, "I'll go pack a bag quickly."

I quickly placed my dishes in the sink before rushing into the bedroom and quickly packing down some clothes, my notebook, books, and knitwear I was working on, so I at least had something to do whilst I waited to return to the dorm.

The boys had all returned to be eating breakfast in the kitchen, to which I returned as well whilst I waited for the car to arrive. I kept smiling whilst we waited, knowing that the boys hated that I would have to go for some time.

At one point a small ding had went off from my phone, with a message that the car was there. I quickly got up from the table and the boys all followed me out in the front hall where I pulled on my boots and jacket, before turning to them.

"I'll be back soon," I cooed at them seeing their faces, as they all just moved up one by one to hug me goodbye.

"You'll come back soon, right noona?" Niki questioned with a sad look on his face as he bent down to hug me.

"Of course," I assured him as I patted his back, "just enjoy your birthday, okay? That's the most important thing."

"Without you?" he questioned as he pulled away from me and I nodded.

"Haven't you enjoyed your birthday all years?" I questioned him with a small smile and he hesitantly nodded at me, "then enjoy this one as well, I promise I'll be there all day next year. You'll have a great time with the boys, I'm sure of it."

"She's right," Jake nodded in agreement and I pointed back to Jake before nodding at Niki.

"See? It's alright," I assured him before patting his shoulder, him being to tall for me to properly being able to pat him on the head.

"Jungwon hyung won't be happy about this either," Niki pointed oit and I looked behind him where Jungwon still stood waiting to say goodbye to me.

"I know," I nodded at Niki, "but you know what? You'll all be fine, and so will I. It's just to be sure."

"Okay," he silently nodded before walking backwards and Jungwon immediately rushed forward and pulled me into a tight hug.

"We'll all be negative so you can come back immediately," he assured me and I nodded at him.

"I didn't doubt that," I nodded at him before pulling away and grabbing my back before putting on my facemask," a maximal of three days boys, rememnber!"

I quickly opened the door and rushed out into the car waiting for me. It quickly drove me off to the hospital where I immediately got checked into an isolation room, and they tested me. At first it came out inconclusive, which meant I had to get another test taken tomorrow.

Throughout the whole day I kept the boys updated on what was happening and what the doctors had told me. They didn't seem happy that my first test result were inconclusive, but I assured them that I didn't feel sick, and then they had to go get tested themselves, before I got in contact with them once again afterwards.
