Chapter 26: World One

You get what you pay for, and the expensive makeup products that Sheng Qingyin purchased proved to be quite effective. After fiddling with it for about five minutes, the marks on Mu Bai's neck were completely gone.

"Great, as long as nobody presses on your neck, everything should be fine," Sheng Qingyin clapped her hands. "When we return, I'll help you remove it."

Last night, when Fu Xing ordered his assistant to destroy the hard drives on-site, thinking he could get away with it, Mu Bai just pulled out a backup cloud drive, and it left Fu Hang furious." Sheng Qingyin began lavishing praise on Mu Bai and even introduced Feng Rui as her good friend.

Mu Bai's heart raced when she first heard Sheng Qingyin's words, thinking her hidden secrets were exposed. But when she realized that her fiancée was trying to paint her in the best light possible, ensuring she'd be a good fit for her mother, she couldn't help but smile.
