[曦澄 | XiCheng][MDZS Modern AU]: All The Things I Never Told You [~PART 1~]

Note:

This is probably the most important note in this book. I want to give full credit to two of the major inspirations for writing it at all, apart from  *Módào Zǔshī*  by Mòxiāng Tóngxiù, of course.

As the AU genre of writing gives me more authorial freedom, I barely had any choice but to include here one of the most important topics in modern society, for me at least.

Number 1:

The TV show "Mindhunter",  cut short, alas, after just two seasons. It was a series based off a book, and thus, I want to give credit to both. As the topic of serial killers is fascinating to me, the book was only logical, and even more so - the TV adaptation of it. I have inserted bits and pieces, presented in the YouTube videos following suit inside this note, yet again - I have no claims about copyright, all vids and franchises belong to their respective authors. I am, here, only humbly thankful for the inspiration, for the thorough work, and the amazing insight that,  I am sure of it, have touched the lives of many.

Number 2:

The second source is the incredible book "Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit" by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, on which the TV series was based. 

Douglas was, notoriously, the very first profiler who worked for the FBI in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s of the previous century, a true pioneer, if ever was one, introducing the interrogation techniques and psychological protocols used largely among law enforcement in America even to this day. It is, in my opinion, one of the most valuable books ever written, because - as Frank Castle puts it: "You are just one bad day away from being me." 

I read this book in class, to my kids, and I share bits and pieces of it all through my social media, because people need to be aware of just how close by Death is, every day, every hour.

The case of Victor Zorn, an original character of mine, and purely fictional, will be loosely based on the  profiles of the serial killers, mentioned in the book, and - respectively - the series. Also, the photos I will be using in the next chapters will be taken from 'Mindhunter',  so  full credit goes to the respective creators.
