- Huan... Please... It's burning...

The kitchen was quickly starting to smell like overheated foil and smoke, as the fish dish was slowly starting to get burnt, but as their embrace was magical, warm and tender, neither let go.

- What do I care about the world burning... I only care about you...  -  Lan Huan was mumbling, covering the pale delicate neck with millions of kisses, ignoring everything else.

Jiang Cheng was melting, literally, enjoying the petting so much. He felt so wanted that it made him dizzy to even think about it.

- No one has ever said that to me... How come you love me so much?  –  he whispered weakly, giving up, tilting his head back so that there could be some more access to his skin to be kissed and licked.

- You are perfect... And you are mine.   –  Lan Xichen growled and squeezed him even tighter.  –  This is all. This is all I need!

- Silly boy...  -  Jiang Wanyin smiled.

- And you?  Do you love me, Wanyin?   –  he now put some effort to move away from the sweet scent, from the soft skin, staring in his golden eyes intently.

Jiang Cheng blushed a little, wondering how someone so beautiful could be so unsure of himself; Lan Xichen needed to be told all the time that he was loved, cherished.

He bit his lip and shyly thought to himself that if they really were going to be together  –  he had to develop the habit of reminding him of this. Daily.  Because it was true.

- I do...  -  he mumbled, looking almost discontent, still worried about the dish in the oven.  –  I tried not to... It didn't work, Lan Huan.

Lan Xichen laughed a little and let loose, allowing him to escape, finally, the prison of his arms. Now he was watching him hiss and fuss, like a girl, taking the fish out of the stove, huffing and puffing, trying to remove the foil as soon as possible and fix it by pouring lemon juice on top to cancel the foil's imprinted aftertaste, frowning and mumbling that it was all ruined.

- Now it's all ruined!  –  he scoffed, his hands on his hips.  –  I am hungry, you know!!!

- Ah, Wanyin! If the weather wasn't so awful  –  I would have ordered a proper meal for us a long time ago!  –  Lan Huan tried to pacify him, grinning.

- Ha! What does that mean now?!   –  the frown deepened.  –  You don't like my cooking?! It's not proper enough?! Huh?

- No, no! Oh, god!  Darling, no!  –  Lan Xichen raised his hands, seeking peace.  –  The truth is  –  I still haven't tasted it!  –  he smirked diplomatically now.  –  I will tell you later if it's good! It's straight out of the oven, sweetness, it's still too hot...

- Ha!

Jiang Cheng stared at the poor fish which looked like any cooked fish would, but which was probably too overcooked now. He silently congratulated himself for the decision to use foil; Lan Huan's embrace had been so greedy and strong that he would have had absolutely no chance to escape and tend to the meal any time sooner. This thought made him blush again... Such tenderness and patience were new to him, he didn't know how to deal with it.

- Fine!  –  he scoffed.  –  We'll see about that!

Lan Xichen was amused to see him so angry about such a small thing, but now this sounded like a threat. He squinted his eyes.
