Don't You Trust Me

Back Here Again

Eren opened his eyes to a familiar white ceiling. 'I'm on the floor?' Eren asked himself as he sat up. He looked around and he seemed to be sitting in a hall. Then it hit him and all his memories started flooding back. 'I was here the other night. This is all just a dream.' Eren said standing up. He pinched his arm and tried to wake himself up. 'Come on it's just a dream, wake up already.' Eren said pinching himself harder to the point his nails dug into his skin and a drop of blood ran down his arm.

'Well it doesn't look like I'm waking up from this one that easily.' Eren said as he started to walk down the same hall as last time. He looked into the first room and sure enough there was the same elderly lady from the last time. The people surrounding sobbing as she laid on her deathbed. The nurses talking in a hushed voice. Once Eren started walking sure enough he heard the bone chilling beep. Everything was exactly the same as the first time he went through, except for him. Eren himself was different. He knew what to expect, he knew what was going on, and he knew that this wasn't real. Even though he knew all this he still couldn't help but feel scared.

He walked through the hallway glancing in each room once more, making sure nothing had changed. He was picking up more details than the first time he was here. The little girl who was in the car crash was the youngest sister and her older sister was in the bathroom. The oldest sister was orphaned because her parents were killed in the crash. In one day she lost everything, her parents and her little sister. The next room with the man, Eren found out he had a heart attack before a job interview. He was trying to sober up and change his life around. Even though Eren knew this was a dream he still couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with sadness. He began to question if happiness was real, or just an illusion.

He continued walking to the next room. He found Levi in it once again, visiting the stranger in the hospital bed. "Levi?" Eren asked not expecting an answer. Levi remained silent but this time he was in a different position than last time. He was more hunched over, and instead of just puffy eyes, they were still teary. Levi had both his hands on top of the person's hand. Eren turned and waited for the nurse to enter. When she did she was the exact same, her outfit her manner of speaking, even her tone of voice, but her words had changed. When she walked in asking the same question Levi reacted in the same manner. He stood up and answered her, but he remained with one hand holding the limp hand. "They suffered a severe concussion, they have some bruised bones, and a few of their ribs are broken. They have a slim chance of waking up." The nurse said once again holding nothing back.

When Levi got the news he again reacted in the same manner, but the little things were different. His heart ached so bad it could be seen from across a football field. He thanked the nurse before sitting back down in the chair. He scooted closer to the bed before speaking to the unconscious person. "You have to wake up, I know you, you aren't a quitter." Levi said, his words different from what he said last time. He still sounded heartbroken and scared. "I can't lose you, I'm sorry this is all my fault." Levi said before laying his head down next to the limp body. He turned his head to the side so that his cheek was laying on the bed.

Eren couldn't take it anymore. He walked over to his lover and attempted to place his hand on his back. He stood there and tears started rolling down his cheeks. "Levi I am so sorry, I don't know what's happening, but it can't possibly be your fault. I love you Levi, I need you, more than you will ever know. Please." Eren said as he placed his hand on his lover's cheek. "Levi please don't blame yourself." Eren said before falling to his knees as he watched his lover in pain and suffering before his very eyes, and there was nothing he could do to help him.

"Eren, Eren wake up." Levi said shaking the boy awake and staring into his eyes. Eren's eyes shot open as he jumped up gasping for air, hitting his forehead on Levi's doing so. "Ow." Eren said rubbing his head. Levi backed up and put one of his hands on his head rubbing it lightly wincing. Eren blinked seeing Levi clearly, as he held his head. "Oh shit did I hurt you." Eren said panicking reaching his hand to Levi's head. "I'm fine." Levi said grabbing Eren's hand. "What about you, that dream sounded bad, was it like the one from before?" Levi said scooting closer to Eren. "I think so I can't really remember it, I just know that I feel the same emotions as I did before." Eren said scooting into Levi's arms. "Was I calling your name again?" Eren asked looking into Levi's eyes. "Yeah, but that doesn't matter, what matters is that you're okay." Levi said kissing the top of Eren's head. "Well I have a headache now. Eren said rubbing his head. "Me to brat, next time Try not to head but me, okay?" Levi asked teasing him. "Will do."
