"What happened? Did he hurt you?" Charles asked.

He was sitting on the floor, his body battered with blotches of blue and purple. The sight of it made Fayth's stomach churn.

It's all my fault.

As she stared at him, sitting there trying hard to put a cold wrap on his shoulder, she realized it was one more reason why she needed to leave the Academy. This place had become a lot more dangerous than when she had first enrolled here.

She walked over and placed the cold wrap on him instead. After she cleaned up his wounds, she sat beside him and stared at her shoes.

"What happened?" He asked again.

She shook her head and smiled. "Don't worry about it. Everything is okay."

"Did... did he figure you out?" His voice was quiet, fearful. He seemed worried about something. Every now and then he would divert his attention elsewhere and would avoid meeting her eyes.

"No. Well, sort of, but not the whole story. He remembered the warehouse incident."

"Everything?"

She shook her head. "He didn't mention everything. Either he doesn't remember or he's embarrassed."

Charles put a hand on top of her head, staring at her with sad eyes. "Please don't ever leave me. Don't ever go. If you decide that you want to run away from this hell hole, let's go together."

Her eyebrows pulled together as she studied his sudden serious expression. "Hey, what's wrong? Is there something that you're not telling me?"

He sighed, then stood up and limped his way to the door. Fayth watched him as he grabbed the door's handle, getting ready to leave.

He paused there, for a long time.

"Fayth?"

"Yeah?"

He turned and looked at her. "I hate the fact that I'm going to say this, but I think I have to."

"What? Say what?"

"Lexis, him and I have the same interests now."

She rolled her eyes. "Stop being ridiculous."

"It seems like..."

His next words blurred out, and Fayth stared at him with shock. As she watched the door close behind him, the words he said rang over and over in her head.

It seems like he fell in love with you.

Nearby, Lexis was making his way through the halls towards the F.A.I.T.H. wing. When he reached the door, he punched in the pin number and pushed it open. Like always, Vivian was standing there, staring outside the glass wall with an unreadable expression.

She's so much like me...

Lexis walked over to her and and took ahold of her shoulder, whirling her around roughly and shoving her back against the wall. He took ahold of her wrists and held them tightly against the glass.

His face inches away from hers, he stared hard into her eyes and said, "No matter how much I think about it, you're the only other person that knows the complete truth. And no matter how mercilessly I beat Charles, he's too loyal. You, you have an interesting love-hate relationship with her. So for now, hate Rihanna and tell me who she really is."

Vivian sighed. She looked away and snorted. "This is about her?"

She had been mislead to think that Lexis had finally found mutual interest within Vivian's wired feelings.

"Let go of me. I don't care about you two."

Lexis looked away, his anger tipping over. Sighing, he looked back at Vivian, leaned in, and as his breath caressed her lips, as his eyes gently looked into hers, he quietly begged.

"Please."

Vivian's heart began to beat like a drum. She fell into a trance, staring back into his beautiful wicked eyes. She can feel her consciousness melt before his stare, her skin heat up and tingle under his touch. No one's ever managed to influence her to this extent till now.

She can suddenly feel what Fayth expressed towards that school boy Jessie. She understood why Fayth had become so blinded by love.

She understood why it was so hard, knowing fully well it was one sided.

Feeling manipulated, she pulled her arms away from his grasp, and with one quick move, she had him with his back against the glass instead.

I'll give him a little bit, enough to keep him wanting more from me.

She cupped one of his cheeks in her hand and stared at his lips. "You really want to know who she really is?" She breathed, leaning close enough until her lips were brushing against his. "I'll tell you a secret." She pulled back, looked into his dead eyes, then leaned back in and in his ear, she whispered. "Shatter glass in front of her eyes, let her witness it crashing, and watch the magic show happen. You'll...find out who that girl really is."
