context: dream sapnap and george are streaming, playing bedwars

tw: swearing

DREAMS PERSPECTIVE:

"GEORGE, YOU SUCK!" Sapnap screamed, his mic crackling. I laughed, uncontrollably, as George and Sapnap fight like kids.

"Oh my God, you both suck, there! Settled! I'm the best, you two suck." I said, still chuckling. I can practically see George roll his eyes.

"We all suck," Sapnap spits out the sentence like a bad taste in his mouth.

George goes silent for a while and I hear him sigh quietly. I hear Sapnap type furiously, and a few seconds later I get a discord notification

Sapnap:
cheer him up idiot!1!!1

I clear my throat. "Baby- I mean George!-" I feel my face go red. Sapnap squeals into his microphone. George starts giggling and I slump back in my chair. "I said George," I say, even though I know I didn't.

Chat:

"We all know what you said," Sapnap says. "You called George 'baby' because you have a crush on him, don't you?" He teased.

I snicker, getting defensive. "Shut up. It slipped out of my mouth, and I don't have a 'crush' on George. You're just being stupid now."

"Somebodies getting defensive..." Sapnap mocked.

"Yeah? And somebodies getting on my nerves," I growled.

"Guys, lets not fight-" George said, speaking up.

"We weren't fighting, Dream was just being irritating. Nothing new." Sapnap grinned. I clenched my fists, resisting the urge to punch my desk.

"I was being irritating? Damn, Nick, you're a comedian."

Chat:

"Let's end it there, guys." George said again.

"No, let's keep this going. He'll crack eventually." Sapnap said.

"What do you mean 'crack?'" I spit.

"Oh cmon. You have the reputation of this super strong guy who's never cracked under pressure. But that'll change toady."

I roll my eyes, unimpressed. "Doubt it." I said.

"It'll be a funny day when you're being all confident and then your massive ego shatters." He said.

"At least I have confidence. You bring other people down to make yourself feel better."

"Says the guy who hasn't done a face reveal."

"Says the guy who's face reveal sucked." I snorted.

"Anyone ever told you how obnoxious you are?"

"No, because I'm not."

"Well maybe it's time someone does. 'Cause you are. Obnoxious, and a shitty friend."

"A shitty friend? Oh please!"

"Oh no." George said quietly. He knew I was about to blow up at Sapnap.

"Who was there for you at your lowest point?"

No response.

"Who made you feel like an actual person after years of pure pain?"

Utter silence.

"Who raised you when nobody else was there for you?"

Speechlessness.

"Who motivated you to actually do stuff?"

Sapnap cleared his throat, quietly.

"And, Nick, who was there for you on the night you were gonna end it all?" I snickered.

Complete silence.

"C'mon. Tell us. Tell us who stopped you from fucking ending it?" I yelled.

Chat:

"...you." He mumbled. I heard vague sniffles from his side. I heard his hoodie rub against his skin as he wiped his eyes.

"Sapnap-" George began.

Nick    disconnected.

"Nice going, Dream. You made Sapnap upset and now, I don't wanna be here. Now we're all in a shitty mood." George snarled.

"It's not my fault he started the argument. I simply ended it," I snap, back.

"Yeah, but you didn't have to.. bring that stuff up."

"I know, but he should've known better. He knows what I'm like."

Silence filled the call and the chat slowed.

"I'm gonna try talk to him. Maybe you should, too."

"I'll try tomorrow if you really want me to."

"Alright. See ya."

Georgie   disconnected.

-- LATER --

Nick joined your channel.

"Nick-" I began.

"I don't really wanna talk to you." He said blatantly.

"Please, let me talk?" I asked. He sighed, and I took it as a yes. "What I said the other day, I really didn't mean it. I got really angry, and you know what happens when I get mad."

"Yeah, but on stream? Really?"

"...I don't have an excuse for that, so I'm not gonna make one up. All I can really say is I'm sorry. Really, genuinely, actually sorry. I let my emotions get the best of me, and it was completely and absolutely wrong of me to bring that up live. I'm sorry for acting like that and I'm sorry for hurting your feelings. You didn't deserve it."

There were a brief few moments of silence.

"I accept your apology, I just don't know if I can forgive you."

My heart sank. Grief rumbled in my stomach. My happiness turned into a bed of flowers covered by a thick layer of colourless snow. I swallowed the bile that rose in my throat. "It's ok. I understand." I said.

"I don't want to say goodbye so I'll just say goodnight."

"Alright. Night, Nick."

"Night, Clay."

Old Pal disconnected.
