DREAMS PERSPECTIVE:

There's a knock at the door. I put my bong away in my room, and quickly rush into my bathroom. The entire night I've been taking LSD and smoking weed in my room. I assume Sapnap answers the door when I hear it close.

I look in the mirror.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck," I mumble. I look fucking stoned as shit. I'm completely baked.

Sapnap calls me.

I answer, "who's at the door?"

"Drista and your mom are here," he says.

"Am I on speaker?"

"No, why?"

"Sapnap, I'm completely stoned."

He starts cracking up.

"It's not funny!"

"Your mom wants to see you, come outside. It's fine."

He hangs up.

"Fuck me," I mutter.

I leave my bedroom, closing the door. I walk over to the kitchen, where my mom and my younger sister sit on the stools, talking to Sapnap who stands across the counter.

"Heyy..." I say, walking over.

"Eugh, you look horrible," Drista spits.

I stick the finger up at her, turn around to the fridge.

"Clay, when was the last time you went outside?" my mom asks.

"Wow... thanks, mom. Remember, I went to Mark's party the other night."

"Ohh, that's right. I had to pick you up and you threw up in my car."

Sapnap chuckles to himself.

"Ohh- no, wrong Clay. Not me, no ma'am."

"Wait- Clay, look at me," she says.

"Fuck," I say to myself. "Uhh, okay."

I turn around, and look at her.

"Nick, darling, could you do me a favour and maybe take Drista outside to the basketball courts?" my mom says.

"Yeah, sure."

Drista shrugs, walks outside, talking to Sapnap.

My mom looks at me.

"Are you high?" she asks.

"Mom- no, you know I don't do that."

"Do what?"

"Drugs!"

"Don't you dare lie to me. I'm gonna ask you one more time. Are you high?"

I scrunch my face up, giving in. "Maybe a bit-"

She gets up out of her seat, and walks over to- I assume- yell at me. But she pauses.

She huffs. "Is everything okay? Why are you... why are you getting into this type of stuff?"

"Mom, I'm fine."

"Sweetie, you can talk to me."

"So only when I'm an adult and all this stuff is under my house I can talk to you?"

"What?!"

"When I did shit like this at home when I was, what, 15, 16? You and Dad screamed at me. But now because it's under my roof it's fine."

"You know it's not like that."

"It's fine, mom. You couldn't help me anyways."
