Gin x Reader

(Requested by hogwarts25darling and yes i am still alive, just finally finishing up the last requests so I can finally relax hehe, this year has been super busy for me, been helping out with weddings and baby showers and what not, but alas if i missed any requests that were made before December 1st, please let me know, thank you.)

You were there at the Baratie when all of a sudden a man sets foot on the ship.

He looked weak.

Hungry.

And you could've sworn his eyes showed no hope for survival.

You felt bad.

Starvation was no joke.

Some people walk around saying they're STARVING, only when it's been a few hours since they've had something to eat.

Try DAYS.

Because that's exactly how this man looks.

You watched as he dragged his feet over to the entrance when he suddenly dropped to his knees.

Without thinking you hurried over to him.

You- "Hey, are you okay?"

"I.....I.....I need food..."

Your heart broke at the sound of his voice.

It was so weak.

So frail.

You have been hungry before, but this man was starving.

So without a second thought, you went over to the table you were sitting at and picked up your plate of food and brought it over to him.

You- "Here."

"H-huh?"

You set the plate of food in front of him and he stared at it like he hasn't seen food in weeks.

"Is....is this yours?"

You- "Don't worry, I haven't touched it."

"But....I don't think I can-"

You- "Just eat it, I can always order another."

The man slowly grabbed the spoon and took a spoonful of the fried rice into his mouth.

He chewed it like it was going to be the last meal he will ever received.

It wasn't long until he sat up and ate the whole plate.

He was a very sloppy eater, but you couldn't help but smile.

He wasn't even complaining about the food.

Usually when people complain its because they are very picky eaters.

But this man wasn't.

Hell even if he was, at least he is eating every single bite.

"Why...Why are you staring at me?"

You- "Oh! I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude, its just you look so happy when you eat."

"Oh...not really happy...just glad I am able to get something to eat."

You- "If you don't mind me asking....when was the last time you had food?"

The man stared down at his empty bowl.

"Too long..."

You- "If you want....I can order more food for you."

"I don't need your pity."

You- "Yet you accepted the first plate."

The man sighed and got up.

"Thanks but I shouldn't comply, my captain will be here soon and I don't want him to see me being vulnerable."

You- "Your..captain?"

"Yeah...I'm Gin...of the Krieg Pirates."

You lightly gasped at the name.

You weren't very afraid, but you wondered what his intentions are.

You just helped him and now what?

Will he kill you?

Would he rob you?

Or would he even kidnap you?

"Just get out of here."

You- "h-Huh?"

"My captain is a cruel man, he will destroy anyone that gets in his way...if I were you, I'd leave while I still can..."

You- "What....what will he do?"

"Beats me.....but if my captain ordered me to hurt you....I would do it without hesitation....so please....go."

He was serious.

You saw it deep in his eyes.

They read plea and danger.

You stood up as well and nodded.

You- "okay..I'll go...but please...don't be angry with me..."

"I am not angry...I just wanted to thank you for feeding me."

You- "By telling me to get lost?"

He let out a low chuckle.

"Exactly."

You smiled and started to walk back to your table to leave some money for the tab.

"What's your name?"

You suddenly turned around.

You- "My name?"

He nodded.

"So I can remember you."

You- "(Y/N)."

"Nice to meet you (Y/N)."

With that he walked away from the restaurant, probably to go meet up with his captain.

You- "Nice to meet you too..Gin."
