Visit to Pithapuram Ashram Branch
September 26, 1995
Dear Parents,
Divya conveys her namaskars. A few days ago, suddenly at lunch Jnaneswari said, “Come to Pithapuram with me!” It is a town about 1½ hour away which is the birthplace of Swami Omkar and has a branch of Shanti Ashram. Jnaneswari has not visited there in a long time. Within an hour we were speeding along in the car, just us two and the driver.
For the first time I saw this Branch – it is only a one-room house, with one side room, totally unused. They say it was Swami Omkar’s house in his boyhood. Jnaneswari had me organize the library, a small collection of books & magazines. In only three hours I had happily wiped the thick dust from all the books & shelves, separated books, magazines and useless papers, and made all neat.
Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu.
Love,
Divya
