It was nearing midnight. Gerard had already tripped over his spooky ghost costume and landed face-first into a pile of mud. He was not past getting upset about that.

If it weren't for the cool mud plastering his face, I'm sure he'd still be crying.

"Frankie, I think we're lost", his voice had traces of sadness. It seemed I would have to be the big boy in this situation.

"We're not lost Gee! We're just walking around more!" I smiled cheerily.

"Really?" he asked hopefully. "Our mom's said be home by midnight."

"Exactly what the want you to think", I put on a fake sneer.

"Did they lie to us!" Gerard's eyes were wide as he faced me.

"No, they mislead us. Me being dressed as Sherlock Holmes, I knew they were tricking us", I nodded.

"Ohhhhh, I get it now", he smiled. "Like we're going to find clues on how to get home!"

I jumped up and down with Gerard in mock excitement.

"Yeah! That's it!" I grinned.

I knew that in these types of situations, panicking was not good. Look where it got Brendon. Panicking at every fucking disco-themed dance we had got him nowhere. It just made people think he was weird.

But weird is okay, so whatever.

"What's our first clue?" Gerard asked excitedly.

"We have to keep on the lookout for the words 'Salter Lane' on one of these signs", I pointed to the florescent green street signs.

"Psh, that's baby stuff", Gerard laughed. "Let's go, go, go!"

Gerard began to run.

"Gerard no! You'll trip again! Take off your costume!" I called after him.

"Frankie, that's inappropriate", Gerard smirked at me across the parking lot.

But what did it mean?

It meant that I was turning 12 today and I had to get with the times.

"Th-that's what I was going for", I stuttered boldly.

Time to MAN UP!!!!1!!

"Are you implying that part of the game is to streak?" Gerard laughed.

"Uhm", I didn't know what streaking was. "Uh, yeah!"

"Okay!", Gerard threw off all of his clothes.

I followed his lead, feeling feelings of confusion. [A/N: God how I hate feeling feelings. I'd prefer to smell them]

I heard angry parents yell at us as we ran up and down looking for our "clue". When we finally came to it, we got inside right on time.

Both our sets of parents faced the two of us- cold, naked, and young.

"What the hell happened out there?" Mrs. Donna laughed.

"We found your clues", Gerard smiled.

Now I knew I was in trouble...
