The door opened, Kaiden looked down at Mark.

"Get up." He said, groggily.

Mark immediately got up, as Kaiden walked to his kitchen, turning on a light.

Mark closed and locked the door behind him.

"..That a habit of yours?" Kaiden asked.

"Yeah, sorry."

"It's fine, it's a good one."

Mark smiled as he sat down.

"..Soooo, what are you even doing over here? HOW did you get over here?"

"IIIII..Hitchhiked most of the way, and then flew."

Kaiden looked at Mark, he looked a little..Pissed.

"Does anyone know your over here?"

Mark went silent, nervously smiling. The look on Kaidens face was visible now.

"Nobody knows?! Do you know how dangerous that is?! Do you even know how worried your sister can b—"

"YES!- Yes! I know..I just- I really needed to get out of there..You know why."

Kaiden grabbed a newspaper off of his counter, with the headline of;

MARK HEATHCLIFF
MISSING.

"..Yeah. I do."

Kaiden sighed..Running his fingers through his hair, moving it out of his face.

".. Putain, Mark."

"What's wrong?"

"I'm..You— you just- flew and hitchhiked here without letting anyone know-! And you came here unannounced..All the way to fucking France! YOU DONT EVEN SPEAK FRENCH!"

"It's not my fault you moved here."

"But it is your fault and responsibility that you flew here without telling anybody."

Mark groaned.

"I didn't come here for you to lecture me."

He pulled on his hoodie string, taking his backpack off and putting on the ground.

Kaiden groaned, opening his fridge and pulling out a glass of orange juice.

He poured a glass, and handed it to Mark.

"Here. I know you..Probably haven't had some in a bit."

Mark took the glass and drank out of it.

"I really wanted to come here because I know I'd be safe..Cesar-"

"Don't talk about him." Kaiden snapped.

Mark shut up almost immediately.

"I'm sorry."

Kaiden groaned.

"it's fine, Mark."

He said, grabbing a glass and pouring himself some orange juice.

"What time is it?.." The brunette asked.

"It's Five in the morning."

Mark was a little surprised that it was so early, he sipped out of his cup.

"Yeah, you fuckin woke me up."

"Yeah..I'm sorry."

Mark laughed a little, as Kaiden sipped out of his cup.

..It was pretty silent for a couple minutes.

"I'm sorry for waiting outside your door for that long—"

"Yeah. That was definitely not the best way to go about things. A lot of people definitely heard and saw you yelling..I bet they think I'm in trouble with the law or somethin'."

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that..But now that I'm here we can catch up a little bit."

"..Yeeeaaahhhh..No, probably not. I have a job to go to. And I need cash."

"What?! You can't take a day off?"

"No, Mark. I genuinely can't."

Mark looked a little disappointed.

Suddenly, Kaidens phone began to vibrate. He pulled his phone out of his pocket..

"..Good lord, speaking of.."

He answered his phone.

"Hello?..Uhhh..Yeah...Mm?..Are you serious?!-"

Kaiden got even more pissed, hanging up and groaning.

"Uuugghhhh.."

"What happened?"

"Fuckin..Someone left rotten meat out of the fridge, and now we're being searched for no reason."

Mark and Kaiden looked at each other.

"..So are you off today?"
