Ray

It's been two weeks since Randy and I got into an argument, and since then he has become...different. If he was already caring before, he became more caring now.

Flashback

"Randy!" Freaking out, I yelled his name as soon as he answered my call. "Are you busy right now?" I asked as I looked around.

"Ray! What happened? I'm in a business meeting right now. What's up?" he spoke.

"I need help, Randy! I was robbing a house alone and the cops saw me! Oh god! They are chasing me, Randy!" I covered my mouth to stifle a giggle.

"What?!" he wheezed. "Fuck! Where are you right now? I'll scoop you up," he said and then I heard him running through the other end of the call.

"I don't know! Please help me!" I chided, faking that I needed help. "But you said you're in a meeting, though?" I said.

"Fuck that. I'm picking you up, where are you?" he asked worriedly.

Oh God! I am going to hell.

As I tried to suppress my own laughter, my conscience ate me when I heard the engine of his car. Smiling nervously, I spoke. "I'm just kidding, Randy." I let out a small laugh.

"What?!" he hissed. "Ray! Are you serious?" he groaned in annoyance.

"I'm sorry, Randy," I said, giggling. "I was just kidding. I'm fine." I rested my head on the headrest of my car and smiled. "I got you good, huh?"

"Oh my god!" He sighed in frustration. "Ray! I just dropped an important meeting when you said you needed help!" he said, his voice louder than usual, but he was still careful.

I cucked my head back, smiling still. I would have been scared hearing him yell if I didn't know Randy personally. But I knew him better. "I'm sorry. Are you mad at me?" I asked sweetly. I grimaced hearing my own voice. This is cringe!

He heaved out a sigh in dismay. "I'm not mad. I was just..." he trailed off.

"Worried?" I finished the sentence for him with a smile plastered on my lips. "I'm sorry."

I heard him chuckle from the other line, making me laugh. "Where are you right now? Are you good?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm good. I'm at the Southside. I just finished a house," I said. "Shit! I gotta go now, Randy." I turned on the engine when I saw someone walking up to me.

"I'm not falling for these tricks again, bruh." I feel like he just rolled his eyes in frustration.

"No. Someone's actually following me," I said as I looked at the dashboard mirror.

"What?! Are you trolling me again?"

"No, no." I lowered my window when the guy knocked on my window. "Yes? Can I help you?" I asked.
