What do I love about this frigid season
I love the excuse that I have to drink hot chocolate every day, the molten sweetness somehow clinging to my lips and reminding me every time I lick my lips
I love the beautiful serenity that comes with the thick blanket of white that covers the world
The snowflakes that dance down from a grey sky, dancing as if in their own ballet
A grey sky that still seems beautiful to me though most wound find it drab
On the days that the sun peeks out, the snow twinkles like the stars above
I love having an excuse to do nothing but bundle up in front of a fire watching sappy and cliché romance movies
The smell of gingerbread and Christmas cookies that slowly starts to melt into the walls of my house
And of course, the calming music that fills the air everywhere I go
In the cafes, in the schools, and of course, in my room waiting for me when I get home
It's a different sort of music
While everyday music can make you sad or happy, winter music simply wraps me up in a hug and slowly dances around with me
It's a refresher from everything else around me
A calming sort of time
