Reading your old writing is both amazing and absolutely terrifying
It's like an old friend that you haven't seen in years
Memories that were waiting for a small trigger to come rushing forward again
A childhood fondness for one thing in particular
That's the good side
But the bad side comes from things you wished you could forget
Like a dark time in your life that you wished never happened
Or a mistake that you made that has haunted you every day since it happened
Like everything in this world
There is both good and bad
If there's one thing that I've learned in my time on this earth
It's that it's all about perspective and how you chose to look at things
You can chose to focus on the bad
Which certainly may be easier
Or you could focus on the good
Which takes more effort
But is much more rewarding in the long run
