-Ariella POV-
I was almost done with my shift at Scoops Ahoy, I had to get more hours because I spent most of my money at the mall. I miss Eddie so much, I don't know why, we're not dating, we're just friends.... So why do I miss him?
I guess I'm much more needy than I thought I was.
I don't want to be needy though, I don't want him to think that I'm obsessive, or that I'm creepy. I can't help but to find myself wanting his attention when he's around.
" What 'cha thinking about?" Robin said as she sat down beside me, breaking me from my thoughts, or more like day dream, about Eddie." Nothing." I replied nonchalantly.
" Its Munson isn't it?" She teased. " No, it's not Eddie." I tried to sound legitimate. " Ariel, you're so obvious! You're thinking about him aren't you?" My friend added, lightly bumping my shoulder with her own.
" Okay! Fine, I am." I admitted in defeat. " Well, it's clear that he likes you, and I already know you definitely, like him." She stated.
" How have neither of you made a move yet? I mean you can't be ' close friends' forever." She tells me, "Well we made a move, together, a big move. But I don't know how I feel." I told her, I knew I could always trust Robin, she always had the best advice.
" What was the move?" She eagerly questioned.
" You're not the first I told, I told Chrissy too but-" She interrupted me, avoiding talking about my sex life, aware Steve was around here somewhere.
" Harrington, please just tell me, I'm too interested to wait." She stated her obvious attitude. "Well we- we had- sex." I told her in a hushed tone.
" Really! That's great!" We both laughed, I knew she meant it was good because it was working out. But she said it like a dad proud of his son for making the middle school football team.
" You guys are so loud!" Steve said as he walked back in. " 'Ella, you really did that while I was Robin's?" My brother looked shocked for a second, but then he had that smile/smirk on his face.
" Steve! You heard all that?" I asked, I felt my cheeks heat up from slight embarrassment.
" It's fine Ariel, you forgot about how messy my love life is." He said, sighing at the thought.
" Anyway, your boyfriend called, he wants to see you, again." Steve rolled his eyes playfully at me, Eddie always called while I was at work, that or he'd come to see me.
Then I saw a figure replace Steve and Robin as they went back out to serve costumers.
" Hey pretty girl." I heard the sound of Ed's voice fill my ears, the butterflies fluttering.
I looked up at him. " Hi Eds!" I cheered. I felt him hug me from behind, his arms around my shoulders, he nuzzled his face into the space into the space where my shoulder meets my neck.
I was really bold before, now I'm not sure why everything he does makes my all flustered and gives me butterflies, he makes me weak.
" Harrington—" He called in a sing-song voice." Huh?" I replied. " You okay?" He said slightly chuckling, his laughter being caused from something else other than me.
" Yeah," I replied with a hum and he chuckled again." What the hell are you laughing at?" I playfully asked, elbowing him in the chest.
He chuckled and then grabbed my hand, leading me to the door, I then heard Steve trying to " flirt" with girls.
I quiet slid the window open to see who he was flirting with, I noticed her to be one on my friends from the cheer team, Katie McJeffery.
" Ed, I know her, she's a cheerleader," I told him, and for some reason we both laughed harder, the statement itself wasn't even funny, it was the presence of each other that made us laugh.
I tucked my face into his shoulder to try to stop my held back cackle so we could continue to watch. It wasn't even funny. We both just couldn't stop laughing together, I loved how he just effortlessly makes me happy.
We both went on the other side with Steve and Katie and she was looked at him like he was crazy.
" I have a boyfriend creep." I then let out my laughter I tried so hard to hold back, Eddie started laughing too.
" Oh hey, Ariel!" She said as she left. Eddie and I kept laughing, it getting harder by the second. I found myself gripping his shirt as we laughed together. "It's the 'Are you free tonight? Or are you too busy looking gorgeous?' For me!" I told Eddie.
When he was laughing, he started snorting, it made me laugh harder. Suddenly he stopped laughing, covering his mouth lightly." What's wrong?" I said I as I caught my breath. " Sorry, my snorting." He awkwardly smiled.
" Eddie, you snorting is adorable." I told him, a huge smile on my face, he smiled, it slowly escalating into a teasing smirk.
" You're cute too." He commented, he booped my nose softly. Butterflies.
" You guys scared off my girl!" Steve complained. " FYI Steve, that was Katie, she's the same age as me, 17, and she has a boyfriend." I told him and he sighed.
" You're okay Steve, I'll help you get your
girl." I told him patting his shoulder. " Clearly, I can flirt much better, and the looks are so— much better." I mumbled Eddie, playfully teasing Steve.
" I heard that!" He said back. " My shift is over anyway, where's Robin? It's her turn to take over." Steve questioned.
" I don't know, but Eddie and I have plans, so bye Stevie!" I called, leaving Scoops Ahoy.
-Eddie POV-
I walked out of the mall with Ariel on my arm, I then felt the warm summer heat on my skin as we stepped outside. Her touch tightened slightly on my arm, giving me that gut feeling, the nice gut feeling. Butterflies." So where do you wanna go?" She asked, with that gorgeous smile.
" it's up to you, it's only 3:30, so maybe we could rent a few movies?" I suggested to her, "Ooh! Yeah that's a good idea!" She exclaimed excitedly, tracing her fingers across my forearm as we walked.
" Do you mind if I borrow your clothes again? Or if you drive me home real quick to grab mine?" She asked as we approached the car.
" You can borrow my clothes anytime sweetheart, you don't even have to ask." I smiled at her, helping her into my van. A hand on her back and the other holding her hand.
"My love," I playfully bowed, and she giggled that sweet little laugh. Playfully flicking the top of my head. " Thank you, dork." She said before I closed her door behind her and ran over to my side.
- Family Video-
I walked in holding Ariel's hand, and she waved to the girl at the counter. " Hi Trina!" She called, tugging on my hand slightly as she walked over.
I didn't really hear much of their conversation, but before I knew it we were off to go choose movies.
After we both picked a few, she pulled out her wallet to pay. " Hey, what are you doing?" I asked, " I'm paying, it's okay Eddie, I can-" I pulled out my money and handed to ' Trina' at the counter.
" Eddie, you didn't have to do that!" She exclaimed. " It's okay doll, it was only about $7.00 ." I told her, " But Ed, we could've at least split it, really you didn't have to that!"
She scolded and I chuckled.
" It's fine—" I told her and she pouted a little.
" Pretty girl." I mumbled loud enough for her to hear, and she blushed. I got out of my side of the van, and went to go help her out. We walked into my trailer and I set the movies on the counter.
" You can choose whatever you want from my closet." I told her and her face lit up. " Okay!" She set her small bag down on the counter.
She didn't carry bags much, but when she did they were nice bags, the one she had was a small, white handbag that looked to be really expensive.
She walked back in and noticed me looking at her bag. " It's so cute isn't in? Steve got it for me for my birthday!" I looked up when she talked, and saw that she had one of my Metallica t-shirts on.
" Who do you think is better? Madonna or Cyndi Lauper?"
