-Ariella POV-
Eddie and I went back to the car so we could have some privacy and freedom, but at the moment we were just talking about random things. I found myself looking all over him as he spoke to me, his eyes not breaking eye contact as he told me something about his band.!
I then noticed one of his tattoos, feeling curious of what they meant to him, why he chose those certain tattoos. " Eddie, tell me about your tattoos." I told him, and he flashed me a smile.
" Well, this one is Master of Puppets, like the song, by Metallica?" He shifted his arm to show me the inside of his forearm and pointed to the tattoo.
He started rambling about them all with a smile on his face, like a kid with their new toy on Christmas Day. He's so pretty. So pretty.
" Eds?" I interrupted softly, looking at him with my head tilted slightly. " Yeah?" He replied, waiting for my response. I playfully rolled my eyes at him and smiled.
" Damnit, Just kiss me." I told him in a needy but stern tone. He then placed one hand on my cheek and leaned towards me to press out lips together. His other hand finding my waist.
As we began to make out, I found myself wanting more from him. He then pulled away, removing his hands from me.
" Ed-" he pointed to Chrissy and Jason who were talking towards my car. "Oh." I watched them approach the car, Jason's arm was around Chrissy's waist.
I felt a flash of jealousy, I wished Eddie would ask me out or something, or I wish I had a the courage to ask him out.
" You guys wanna get lunch?" Jason asked as he entered the car. "Sure, Ariel?" Eddie replied before me, a small smirk on his face telling my what dirty thoughts I know that he is thinking.
" Yeah sure, where do you guys wanna go?" I asked and Eddie looked at me once again with his gorgeous brown eyes. He noticed me staring and he smiled. His dimples appearing when he did.
" Is Whataburger okay?" I asked, considering it was the closest to the mall. It's better than going back into my mall and waiting in line at the food court.
I pulled into the parking lot, and pulled my keys out.We all got out and I noticed a scratch on my car.
" The fuck is that?" I mumbled, I tried scraping it off with my finger, hoping it wasn't an actual scratch. I May or may not be trying to find a way to hold back Eddie, knowing that he would wait for me.
" It's just dirt, baby." Eddie said softly in my ear, in a hushed tone. I felt my face flush at his pet name, I continued to pretend to try to get it off, he easily wiped it with his finger,
" C'mon, there getting a table for us." He told me, lifting my chin with his thumb gently. Before we went inside, I kissed him deeply, my hands finding his face.
" Okay." I said in reply to his previous statement, grabbing his hand and weaving out fingers together. I smiled as he pulled me closer gently placing his hand on my hip, sliding his fingers in between my belt loops.
We walked in and I saw Chrissy and Jason staring at us.Chrissy was smirking and Jason had a ' proud dad' kinda look on his face.
" What?" Eddie asked, breaking the silence, teasing me by sliding his fingertips under my shirt. He knows exactly why they are looking at us.
" You guys are cute, we saw you ki-" Chrissy started, but stopped talking when Jason shot her a look.
" Anyways, I ordered for you guys because you took forever." She added before she sent Jason to go get the food as the number was called.
When I sat down with Eddie at the booth, he set his hand on my thigh, his thumb softly stroking my skin.
I could tell from how soft his touch was, that he wasn't trying to be sexual. Though he was just teasing me, I guess his mood changed.
He lifted his hand off of my thigh, and moved it to around my shoulders. " Harrington, you okay?" Jason asked and I nodded.
" Yeah Ariel, you're really quiet." Eddie added, yep, there it is. I knew he wasn't done. " I'm okay, just tired." I told them.
" Yeah me too." Chrissy added, we stayed up all night at her house, gossiping and gushing to each other about how hot our crushes were, except hers was her new boyfriend.
When we all started talking again, I leaned into Eddie's shoulder, scooting closer to him, he did the same and begin tracing my shoulder softly, butterflies. A wave of actual tiredness coming over me.
" You're falling asleep on me beautiful," Eddie said to me, gently shrugging his shoulder to wake me up. " You barely ate, are you sure it's not more than just 'tired'?" He asked softly, and I noticed that Chrissy and Jason had also stopped talking and looked at me.
" Yeah, yeah, um- I'm okay." I told him, staring up at those beautiful eyes again.
I was okay, I was just scared of my dad, well not 'scared' but more of worried about the whole situation. My dad has always drank, but it's never been this bad. Mom once told me that he stopped drinking when Steve was born. but when I was 12, he started drinking again.
Usually he just yells at Steve and I for some stupid bullshit, but that's the first time he tried getting violent with me. It can be stressful, but I'm just worried about people finding out about it. About my business.
" Ariel, are you hungry?" Eddie asked, and it took my a few seconds to process what he had said to me. " Please eat." He lowered his tone slightly, good thing is that Jason and Chrissy didn't notice, I didn't want all of the attention on me, not this time.
I picked at my food, I only ate about half, not really that hungry. I then offered to pay Jason back for my food.
" It's okay, really, it was cheap. Don't worry about it." He insisted and we stayed there for a few more minutes talking and finishing up.
" Eds, do mind if I can get a hug?" I asked him, feeling slightly needy for his attention.
" Of course, are you okay?" He asked, and I nodded, " I just want one." I told him, trying to make a genuine smile appear, he hugged me and held me for a few seconds.
- Eddie POV-
" Love, can I drive?" I questioned Ariel, and she nodded. I loved her car so much. It was such a nice car, I mean a '79 Camaro it was really nice. She handed me the keys, and she grabbed my other hand.
" Your hands are so damn cold." I felt her squeeze my hand lightly and walked closer to me, as if I was going to let go." I'm not going anywhere." I chuckled at her softly.
" Promise?" She looked up at me, she was happy earlier, but not she seems upset. She could just be tired, but I don't think that's the only thing.
" I promise." I replied back. I opened the door for her and stuck my hand out to help her in, she smiled at me.
" Sweetheart, let go." I chuckled, as I noticed she was still holding my hand, and I was trying to go to the drivers side to take us home.
" Sorry." She muttered, I wanted to kiss her so badly, make her smile like she did earlier. More thoughts filled my head as I got in and started driving.
I wanted to ask, to see if there was anyway I could help her, but I didn't want to push it. I had already asked her previously, she said she was okay so I didn't want to ask again and upset her.
I didn't notice my hand was instinctively resting on her thigh until I turned my head to ask Jason what their plan was.
" So where am I dropping you guys off at?" I asked and they gave an address, which I believed to be Jason's house.
After stopping them off, I headed to Ariel's house. She softly tapped my shoulder when I pulled into her garage. As soon I looked over, she smashed her lips against mine.
" You're real needy, huh?"
