"Okay, can you see anything?" Khloe asked Chase and he grunted in pain as I tried to stop pacing. "You're gonna wear out your uniform," Carter teased as he approached me.
He gently poked my hips as I pulled the sleeves of my full bodysuit as my hands trailed over the red stitching. "Have you been outside?" I asked as I pointed to the door and he shook his head slowly.
"The storm got ten times worse, I didn't even think that was possible," I sighed as I walked through the kitchen and onto the patio and he followed me. "How can a small person create this much damage?" I muttered as I gestured above us. "You're one to talk," He shot back and I rolled my eyes.
He wasn't wrong, but still...
"It's gonna be okay," He assured as he pulled me in for a hug. "Do you promise you won't leave me?" I asked softly into his chest. He paused and I look up at him.
"I promise I won't leave you," He said and I smiled and he leaned down and kissed my forehead. "In case we don't get the chance to again," He mumbled and my heart sank at the possibility.
"I'm gonna go help Athena downstairs," I said as I slowly let go of his hand and unlocked the kitchen tunnel by kicking a loose tile. The cupboard shifted before opening. I speed-walked down the tunnel before entering mission control. "What's going on?" I asked as I walked up to the control center where Athena was sat at.
"Okay, umm I haven't heard anything from upstairs so I used satellites that I could gain access to, to see if I can locate her," Athena said as she pointed up to the large screen. "Did you get her?" I asked and she smirked as she pressed a button. I looked up as the map zoomed into a specific building. "I know where that is," I said as I looked closer at its location. "That is just across the road from the penitentiary," Athena said as she motioned to the map.
"Where it all began," I muttered and Athena nodded in agreement. "So how long has she been there?" I asked and Athena shrugged. "I couldn't get an exact time period but if I had to estimate, I'd say just over an hour," Athena answered as she stood up.
Ricky and Khloe ran into the room and we turned around. "Harley's calmed down. She's gonna be okay." Khloe said, slightly out of breath. "We didn't get anything out of her though," Ricky added.
"Well that's fine, cause I have her location anyways," Athena said before motioning to their pads. "I'll get the others, you guys gear up," Athena said as she gestured to us before running out of the room.

"I'll scan the area, you guys go into the building," Luna said through the helmet and I slammed on the brakes and the bike came to a stop. A red motorcycle sped past as I took off my helmet and joined Harley and the guys. "Athena went with Luna so it's just us until they get back," Harley said as she pushed her hair back. "You guys ready?" I asked and they all nodded.
"Let's get this over with," Ricky grumbled as I walked first and pushed the doors open. The lobby was empty and I walked first into the ground floor.
There was no one here.
"Well the lift's busted," Chase called and I jogged towards him. The door was open and the elevator shaft was empty. "So we go up?" Carter asked as he gestured to the stairs and I shook my head. "Natassia has no business upstairs, if anything," I said as used my boot heel to kick some of the rubble into the shaft. I waited and soon enough I heard a clang coming from the bottom.
"She's in the basement," I said confidently. "So what are we jumping down there?" Harley grimaced and I shook my head as I looked around. "There has to be another way to get down from here," Chase sighed and I looked at the door that was underneath the main staircase.
"Maybe, there is..."

I tossed my hair to the side as I rested my helmet on my motorcycle seat. "The penitentiary's secure. There's no prisoners in there though," Luna said as I got off my bike. "We gotta go find the others," I said and she nodded as we both ran into the building. We reached the stairwell and the elevator shaft was busted.
"Up or down?" I asked and Luna gestured to the open closet at the bottom of the stairwell. "I'm gonna assume they went down," She muttered as I pushed the door open. "I'd rather jump down the elevator shaft," I muttered as we both entered the dark staircase and descended down the stairs.
The stairs went on forever and we finally reached the bottom. It was eerily silent as the only sound that echoed was the dripping of a loose pipe. "Can you even see down here?" I whispered and Luna immediately shushed me as we reached the bottom of the stairwell.
She gasped slightly as the place suddenly lit up. Each consecutive row of lights lit up one by one, and it seemed to stretch for miles. "That wasn't that scary," I teased.
Chase appeared out of nowhere in front of me and I screamed loudly. Luna slapped her hand against my mouth as I held my hand to my chest and calmed down. She glared at me as the others appeared.
"Don't you ever in your life," I threatened before painfully using the heel to step on his foot. He whimpered before hopping around and I walked up to Khloe.
"There's no one down here," Harley sighed and Khloe ran a hand through her hair. "I was so sure she'd be here," She sighed.
"And you was so right," A voice said. We turned to face the direction the others came from. Natassia was standing in the middle of the room with her hands in her leather jacket.
She must think this some sort of fashion trend that she's creating...
"But you weren't here before," Chase said as he pointed at her and she rolled her eyes. "Tina you can't be serious having this moron as part of your group," Natassia said gesturing to Chase. "And you can't be serious parading around in those 2015 Chanel boots but here we are!" I said as I held my hands in the air.
"I would watch what you say. You won't be running your mouth after today," She smirked and my mouth hung open.
"What did you do with the prisoners?" Harley asked as she crossed her arms. "I hope I didn't hurt your head too much with the truth," Natassia sneered before approaching us.
She had her eyes set on Luna as she walked closer but Carter stepped in front and sent a strong wind in her direction. She grunted as she face-planted onto the floor and my eyes widened.
"That's gotta hurt," Ricky winced and I nodded my head. "Enough games!" She yelled as she got up, well levitated, to her feet and her eyes glowed white as her hands became two large balls of static electricity.
"Carter you made her mad," Khloe grumbled as we positioned ourselves. "You wanted to know where the prisoners were?" She asked as loud thumps shook the floor.
Multiple of the prisoners surrounded us, with a few by Natassia's side.
"This should keep you all busy," She gleamed before turning around and continuing walking down the long corridor.

"Oh my god, I give up!" Athena whined as she yelled in frustration and used her hands to send multiple prisoners flying in the other direction. "We've only been at this for like 5 minutes," Carter yelled mid-fighting.
I focused on the three men attacking me and I did a few flips and kicks, leaving them on the ground. "Stay," I ordered as I pointed to them. Obviously they didn't listen but I hit them hard enough to keep them on the ground for a while.
"Someone needs to get to her," Luna said as she pointed in the direction that Natassia headed before ducking underneath someone's arm that attempted to hit her. "There's too many here, not everyone can go," Chase yelled as he shot fire out of his hands to keep away some of the prisoners at a safe distance.
"I'll go," I volunteered but Ricky immediately shut it down. "Guys," Harley said loudly as her eyes glowed momentarily before returning to normal. "There are people in this building," She said as she pointed upwards and I frowned before hitting another guy in the face.
"What do you mean it was like deserted when we got here," I argued and Harley shrugged before disappearing momentarily to avoid two prisoners that were running towards her from either side. They collided into each other and she reappeared in front of them before walking towards us.
"So how are we gonna get them?" Athena asked out of breath slightly after throwing a burly man in the air. He hit the top of the room before plummeting to the ground in his face. "I'll go get them," Luna offered.
"No you should be going that way," Chase said as he pointed in Natassia's direction. "You guys will get to her faster together, besides I'll be quick," Luna said. We all gave her the okay and she ran back up the stairs.
"Okay, what are we doing about them?" Ricky asks as he gestured to the remaining prisoners that were waiting for us. "They look like they're under some sort of weird, gross, zombie spell," Athena grimaced. "You're right," Harley agreed before approaching one. She pressed her finger against the side of his temple and he fell flat on his face.
"You couldn't have done that before?" I grumbled as I crossed my arms and she shrugged. "So you're gonna go one by one?" Carter teased and she rolled her eyes. "Of course not," She muttered as she crouched down in front of the men.
She placed her hands on the ground and we watched as a purple mist emanated from her body. It covered the floor and moments later, they all knocked out and fell to the floor.
"Okay, now that that's finally done," Athena grumbled before running in the right direction and we all followed her. We all stopped as we saw the giant hole in the middle of the room. "This bitch had to go and dig herself a hole," Chase muttered and I stifled a laugh.
At this point, if I don't laugh, then I seriously will die today.
"Hey guys," We heard Luna's voice sound through the walk-in-talkie watch on my wrist. "Hey are you okay up there?" I asked and there was a buzz before she responded. "The connection down here is terrible," Chase muttered. "Guys there's a lot of people up here. I don't know if I can come down anytime soon," She said loudly and we all looked at each other.
"Focus on getting them out of the building," Harley said before looking back towards the hole. "We don't have a lot of time left," Carter said. "So there's no stairs?" Harley asked as she scratched the side of her head and I rolled my eyes. "Screw this," I muttered before stepping forward and falling down the hole.
I heard the cries from the others but surprisingly, it wasn't that much of a fall. I landed in my knees and looked around before looking back up. It was so dark down here that I could see them but I don't think they could see me. "You guys can come down," I said and I knew they heard me as Chase landed next to me, followed by Ricky and Athena and Harley and Carter.
"This is seriously becoming more of a chore and less of a 'save the world' thing," Athena sighed exasperatedly as we began jogging in the direction of the weird white glow. "You mean the town," Harley corrected her and she waved her off.
"Yeah, yeah, that's what I said," She mumbled as we kept walking. A bright white light shone in our direction and we all stopped to cover our eyes. "What the hell is that?" I winced as it slowly dimmed.
"As glad as I am to see you guys here," Natassia yelled from further down the tunnel. "It's a shame that you'll die," She finished as we all ran towards her voice. There was a large reactor standing in the middle of the space, with Natassia standing next to it. "I heard a voice sound through my watch and I pressed it to my ear but we were too far underground.
"Shoot," I muttered. "She can't reach us from down here," I muttered to Carter who had his eyes on me. "Okay, what is it gonna take to get you out of here!?" Athena yelled as Natassia's hands lit up with electric sparks.
"The downfall of this town," She glared as the ball within her hand grew larger. "Wait!" Athena yelled and Natassia paused. She sighed as she slowly approached her. "You should know the truth," Athena began and Natassia rolled her eyes. "Oh, I know everything. Your family killed mine and I managed to escape but I'm here to end that." Natassia yelled.
Her face was red with anger as her chest rose and fell heavily. "I was mocked and ridiculed by everyone in this town! My parents were shamed when they were nothing but good to me! I was laughed out of this town, and now I'll watch it burn."
I almost felt bad for her.
She blasted the reactor and the ground began shaking violently and everyone fell to the floor. "What's happening?!" I yelled as I looked up and saw the rocks above us cracking.
"The place is gonna come apart!" Harley yelled as she slowly stood up and we all stood up. "How much longer do we have here?" Carter said as he stood up and I pushed my hair out of my face before transforming into a dragon.
I didn't think I could even do that...
"3 minutes max," Ricky yelled as I screamed as I felt my body being flung to the side. Ricky was on top of me and we both watched the large heap of rock crash to the ground.
"You okay?" He breathed out as he pushed my hair out of my face and my eyes widened as I used my body weight to roll me and him to the side so we could miss Natassia's blast.
More rocks began crashing down and my eyes widened as the ground began to shake and the reactor started glowing. "We need to get out of here," Athena yelled.
"But she's just gonna teleport out of here," Chase said as Natassia was blocking herself from the rocks falling from the ceiling. Athena was using her hands to move the rocks away from us, but they began falling more rapidly.
"I can freeze her in place so she doesn't teleport but it'll take a while to freeze her entirely," Carter said and I turned to face him. "We don't have time to-" Harley reasoned but he was already facing in her direction and began blasting her. Natassia let out a violent scream and my eyes widened.
"Get out of here! I'll be up in a bit!" He yelled and I shook my head. "You're gonna die down here!" I protested as I felt Ricky pulling me towards the tunnel. I yanked my arm free and dodged a few falling rocks and stood by his side.
"Get out of here. It's not safe," He grunted and I looked up at him. "Carter what am I going to tell her?" I asked as the others yelled for me to come and he looked down at me as he kept blasting her.
"What am I supposed to say?" I repeated and his eyes watered slightly but he tried to hide it. My heart broke just watching this.
He knows this is the end, and he can't even say goodbye.

"Just this way! Hurry please!" I yelled as I felt the ground shaking. There were a lot of people in this building but I managed to get everyone out. I ran through the main offices on the bottom floor to check for any strays.
I found a young boy hiding under a computer desk and he was hurt. He jumped when he saw me and his face was wet with tears. "I'm here to help," I assured him but steadied myself on the desk as the ground shook again.
He whimpered and I stretched out my hand. she held onto it as I pulled him out and carried him in my arms. I walked quickly out of the office and the building before the building shook again.
It's definitely coming from under the building.
I just hope the others can get out before this building comes down.
A woman ran towards me crying and I handed her the boy, assuming she was the mother. "Is there anyone else in the building?" A fireman approached as more rescue services pulled up outside the entrance.
I turned around and felt my heart rate rapidly increase as parts of the exterior began crumbling. I spoke into my watch and he gave me a weird look and I sighed when there was no response.
"My friends are in there," I said as I held myself together. "We'll get them out," He said as he motioned to the other men and I shook my head. "No! You can't! The building is gonna come down," I stopped him as I gestured to it.
"They'll be out any second now," I said as I walked away from them. Other people in the building walked up to me to thank me for rescuing them and I gave them a tight smile as I tried to keep cool.
Please hurry up.
"Are they your friends?!" One of the firemen yelled and I spun around and sighed out of relief as I saw them running out of the building. "Oh my god, I was gonna be sick," I said as I ran towards them and gave Ricky a hug.
He wrapped his arms around me as I squeezed harder and let go to give the others a hug. "Wait, where's Carter?!" I asked loudly as the others faced me.
I turned to Harley first but she was visibly shaking as she kept her eyes on the entrance of the building.
My heart stopped as the building gave in and came crashing down. I felt someone grab my arm as we all ran backwards. It continued to descend further and further into the ground.
I didn't look to see who was holding me but I was being held tightly.
Harley let out a strangled scream as we watched the dust remains fly upwards from the wide hole in the ground.
No.
Screams and shouts echoed from the rescued people and the firefighters were yelling warnings to stay back.
Chase bent down to comfort her but I stood still.
I couldn't move.
This can't be happening. This isn't happening.
"Luna? Hello? Can you hear me? I need you to look at me," I could head Athena's voice in front of me but I kept my eyes on the giant hole in front of us.
Harley's violent sobs echoed in my head and I snapped out of my daze before looking around. "No, you guys had to have got out with him," I said as I felt my voice shaking and I looked around frantically.
"Luna? It's gonna be okay," Ricky tried to comfort me and I looked at him before shaking my head. "No, where is he? Where is he?!" I cried out but no tears came.
"He froze Natassia so she couldn't escape," Khloe muttered as she approached me but I took steps back.
"No, he's here," I said as I swallowed the suck feeling in my stomach. I looked around and waited to see him face within the crowd of rescue services crowding the hole and police approaching us to ask questions. "He said that he loves you," Khloe whispered as she looked on my eyes.
She was holding onto her tears for dear life and it only made mine come out faster.
I took a few steps back as I scanned the people hugging their families, eyes filled with joy because they're able to live another day.
"No, no, no, no, no, no," I repeated as I held my hands to my head.
He promised.
I couldn't control myself as I felt my hands glow at my eyes full with red.
"Luna? Luna look at me!" Athena yelled as she took both of my hands.
"Control yourself," She said gently and I looked to the sky and attempted to thaw out the glow in my eyes. It disappeared and I shook my head as I felt tears falling from my face as I looked in her eyes.
Athena's face crumbled slightly as she tried to hold it together. She let out a shaky breath before whispering, "He's gone."
