"I guess I don't have to show you guys around," Athena said as she opened the door and all of us tumbled in with our various bags. "Oh and I went grocery shopping, cause honestly, there's nothing here and there's seven of us," She said as she carried grocery bags.
"Make sure you hide the cookies. Luna's sort of a pig," Ricky teased as he gently hit my side and I glared at him as I crossed my arms. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late," Khloe said as she walked in with like 5 matching suitcases and duffel bags and shut the door behind her. She dropped them on the floor and flicked her hair past her shoulders before standing upright with her hands on her hips.
"What?" she said as we all stared at the amount of bags on the floor. "Khloe why did you bring that many bags?" Harley asked as she pointed to the pile and Khloe looked down momentarily before looking up again. "I guess it is a lot of bags," She said as she tilted the side of her head and we all agreed.
"Well my mom was more than happy to kick me out of the house," She said as she walked to the sofa and sat in Ricky's arms. "Yeah, I mean I told her that I was staying at Athena's for a few weeks and she was like "Okay!" and practically packed everything for me," She said was an exasperated sigh. "Maybe its cause me being gone means there's less mouths to feed," she added and Athena clapped her hands to get everyone's attention.
"So pizza's on the way," she said."I thought you just brought groceries," I questioned and she shrugged. "If you want, we can all cook a nice homemade meal tomorrow night," She teased as she leaned forward and ruffled my hair. I swatted her hand and she smiled before looking at our bags that we left on the floor.
"I hope you guys don't think that cause Thissa's like 'fancy tech' that she's gonna grow legs and carry your bags to your rooms," Athena said as she made air quotes. We all stared at her with confused looks.
"There are no valets here, so please take your shit upstairs," she said as she insinuated her words and gestured to all the bags and we got up and carried our bags. Everyone piled into rooms on the left and I was left standing like an idiot. "So um, where am I supposed to sleep?!" I asked loudly and everyone exited their rooms as I stood in the corridor.
"There's room with me," Carter teased and I rolled my eyes, as Athena appeared behind me. "Oh, you wasn't here the last time, so you don't have a room," She said before going to the other direction of the corridor and opening the first door on the right.
"You can stay here," She said as she opened the door wider and my eyes widened at the size. "Hey! I deserve a bigger room, as your best friend," Khloe argued as she marvelled at the room size. "Wait, this is like double the size of ours," Harley commented as her and the others all walked in.
"You definitely need the space," Carter commented as he poked her stomach and she elbowed him back. I placed my bag on my bed as I took off my shoes. "I'll call you when the pizza's ready, but you guys should probably unpack," Athena suggested and the others agreed and walked out of my room. I sighed as I unzipped my bag and looked up, to see Carter still standing on the other side of the room.
The last person out shut the door behind them, so it was just us. "Uhh hey, what'd you need?" I asked as I shrugged off my hoodie and pulled my vest jumper over my head. The bottom of my shirt came loose underneath my skirt and I took off the jumper and fluffed my hair. I stopped as I caught him staring at me intensely again.
"Carter," I said slowly as I walked towards him, whilst awkwardly rubbing my hands together. "Are you okay?" I asked as I stood underneath his eye level and held the side of his face with the palm of my hand. He placed his hand ontop of mine and kissed it.
The small gesture was enough to send me on a high of butterflies. "I don't know how this happened," He muttered and I knew he was talking about his obvious feelings for me.
"I don't wanna be a rebound," I said clearly but it came out as more of a whisper as I pulled my hand out of his grasp. "B-But you're not," He countered as I walked away from him, with my hands in my hair. "And how exactly do you expect me to believe that?" I asked as I spun back around to face him.
"Like two weeks ago you was all over Khloe, fighting with Ricky for her, and the one time in my life I decide to be a nice person, is when you have to fall for me?" I asked in a slightly panicked voice. He opened and closed his mouth but no words came out. "Look, I don't know how to prove to you that my feelings for you are genuine," He said as I sat on my bed, and he immediately rushed over and knelt in front of me.
"Luna please," He said as he took my hands in his. "Tina wanted me to tell you that the pizza's her- oh."Khloe said as she stumbled into my room, but stopped.
Carter's grip on my hand didn't loosen, in fact, it grew stronger and I turned my head to the side and waited for the bed to swalllow me whole, but it never happened.
So this bitch has hamster tunnels in her house but the bed can't swallow me?
"Uhh, tell her I'll be down in a bit," I said as I removed my hands from Carter's grasp and headed into the closet. I shut the door behind me and slid onto the floor as I buried my head in my crossed legs. I heard the bedroom door close and I sighed but tensed as I heard footsteps walking towards me. There was soft knock on the door and I already knew who it was.
"Hey, it's me. I'm sorry if I freaked you out but I wanted you to know how I feel. You deserve that...and so much more," He finished and I heard his footsteps dissapear. I sniffled as I leaned forward and grabbed a red tracksuit and started changing. Everything in my closet is pretty much a size too small, excpet for some of the sweatshirts, and oversized things aren't flattering on me.
The tracksuit stopped at my hips and the hoodie was kinda tight but it was still comfortable. I grabbed a hairtie and a clip and headed downstairs. I sped down the stairs and into the kitchen, whilst trying to clip my hair into a bun.
Ricky let out a whistle when I walked in and everyone else turned around and made stupid noises as I sat on the counter and grabbed a pizza. "Hey we ordered some pizza with red chilli peppers, just for you," Ricky teased and I grabbed a piece of sausage on my pizza and threw it at him. He opened his mouth and it landed inside.
He let out a holler and the boys joined in too as he punched his fist in the air. I laughed and my eyes glanced over Khloe, who was wearing one of the oversized sweatshirts I saw in the closet earlier. Her eyes were shifting as she looked at me and then around everyone else in the kitchen.
She saw me with Carter.
I internally groaned as I took another bite of my pizza. This shouldn't be as big of deal as she's making it.
"Hey, what's on your mind?" Harley teased as she appeared and poked my exposed stomach. "Oh, you're gonna help me unpack? Thank you so much Harl!" I gushed as I awkardly hopped off the counter and grabbed a pizza box before dragging Harley out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
I shut, and locked the door behind me before sighing and placing the box on the dresser. I started taking out stuff from my bag and she gave me a look as she sat on my bed. "I assumed you wanted to tell me something," she said as she eyed my duffle bag and I nodded. "Oh yes! Uhh Khloe's pissed at me," I said as I started putting things in the closet.
"What do you mean? What happened?" She asked and I sighed. "You know how Carter likes me," I said and she let out a huge sigh. "I'm glad he finally told you! His emotions were giving me the worst migraine," She grumbled and I stopped walking.
"Harl, I already knew," I clarified and she made an 'o' shape with her lips as she nodded her head slowly. "Anyways, he was in the middle of telling me, and she sort of walked in," I said and her eyes widened.
"Wait, how were you guys standing, or sitting?" She asked and I dropped my clothes on the floor and knelt down in front of her. I took her hands and her eyes widened. "Shit," she cursed and I nodded as I grabbed the clothes and got up again.
"I don't mean to be selfish, even though I can't help it, but why does she care that he likes me? I mean, she did turn him down," I said as I walked back into my room to grab a few more clothes. "Cause he was a pig and kissed her back and assumed she would have sex with him," Harley countered and I turned to face her with a raised eyebrow.
"I know he's my best friend, but he's also a dick," She said with a shrug. "But he still pursued her in a romantic way and she turned him down for Ricky. That boy is a rugrat on the streets, and I should know cause that's where I met him," I said and she held her hands in the air as she stifled a laugh.
"Bottom line is, her insecurities don't scare me. She seems happy with Ricky, and her stares aren't making me uncomfortable. I feel embarrassed for her," I said with a shrug. Harley stared at me with slightly wide eyes. "You're forgetting that Ricky was my only friend for almost 5 years until last week," I said and she nodded, but I dont think she was entirely convinced.
I'm not a people person, never have been. I don't do relationships anways, so for her to judge me that fast and assume I would swoop in and be with Carter in front of her face, pisses me off.
I will never be in a relationship with Carter anyways.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" I asked as I approached the guys in the kitchen.
Like the pigs they are, they inhaled the rest of the pizza and the barbeque wings.
"Oh, you dont wanna know," Chase assured me and I raised my eyebrow. "Try me," I smirked. "We're rating all the girls' powers and like their colours and shit," Carter said as he nodded his head with a smirk and I was taken aback.
Well I didn't expect that...
"Okay then, tell me, I wanna hear this," I said as I sat on the counter and they circled me. "Well first place is Luna, obviously," Ricky said and Carter agreed. "I mean the red just suits her, did you see her in that tracksuit?" Chase added and they all agreed.
I can't believe I'm sitting within this converstaion.
"Even though I think it should be me, I'll have to agree with you guys there," I said with a nod and they got a little excited.
"Okay, okay, next is Athena," Ricky said and I fake dabbed at my eyes. "The green is like an unexpected colour, especially for a girl like you, but there's something mysterious about it," Carter complimented.
Wow, this is really what they talk about?
"Okay, I'll accept that. Who's next?" I asked as I took a sip of my soda. "Definately Harley, no questions asked." Chase said and he pointed his finger towards the counter."Hey, we know you got a crush on her but tone it down," I teased as I poked him and he swatted my hand.
"I do not," He grumbled and I smirked. "Anyways, her abilities are like a different kind of mysterious to yours, like invisibility so she can be anywhere at any time, and being able to feel emotions too? Like it toally makes sense that her colour's purple," Ricky said and I nodded.
"So that leaves," I trailed off and they all shrugged. "Don't get me wrong, her shapeshifting thing, is kinda cool, but like she hasn't mastered it yet, and she hasn't even tried to practice and stuff," Chase explained and Ricky shook his head, as expected. "Her power is just a little bit harder to manoeuvre. She's still strong," Ricky argued.
"Okay then, is it only animals that she can transform into? Can she change into prehistoric animals? Robotic animals?" Chase asked and Ricky shrugged. "Robot animals would be cool," Carter added and him and Chase fistbumped. "I think her healing thing is kinda cool," I added awkwardly and Carter shook his head.
"At first, it was unique, but she's not the only one. Luna can do the same thing, she did me the other day. Now it's kind of a non-existant ability," Carter said and I chose not to respond.
Khloe's my oldest friend. I can't drag her under the bus for these idiots.
"Okay this rating thing was kinda fun, but you guys can't say that stuff when were all under the same roof. Khloe will learn to master her abilities," I said and they shrugged and walked out of the kitchen.
We all walked into the living room and Khloe was pacing, like a lot. "Hey are you-" Carter asks but she cuts him off. "So I'm irrelevant huh?" She asked and the guys stilled. I slowly backed away and leaned against the kitchen door, as I watched. "That's not what we-" Ricky tried to say but she stopped him.
"What is with your weird obsession with Luna all of a sudden?" She asked Carter and he gave her a confused look. "Why do you care?" He asked her and she pasued for a moment, but her anger didn't seize.
"It was gross enough walking in on you two," She trailed off and we all looked at Carter.
What??
"Stop twisting what happened cause you're bitter. We were having a conversation." Carter said as he stepped forward and she looked him up and down before scoffing. "I dont know if it's cause she's popular for being a loner, or she gives off whore vibes, but you dont get to throw your rebound in my face!" Khloe said loudly and I winced and hoped Luna didn't hear that. I really don't want her burning down the only house that I can really call mine.
"Don't talk about her like that," Ricky stepped in and she gave him a shocked look. "Why the hell are you defending her?"She asked him and he sighed. "Because she's my closest friend," He repsonded but Carter cut in again.
"If you are intimidated by her that much, or you have that much of a problem with her, go upstairs and talk to her right now,"Carter said as he pointed towards the stairscase.
"Fine. I will," She said clearly before walking past them and me, before going up the stairs.
