"Just go home and get some rest," I said as I helped her out go down the main school steps. The parking lot was completely empty, since it was like a good 30 minutes since school ended.
"My head is killing me," She muttered as we stopped walking and I dialled Ricky's number. He answered on the third ring. "What's up?" He asked and I momentarily looked around. "Hey, are you like near the school?" I asked and he took a moment before responding.
"I'm actually about to turn on that road. Khloe's waiting for me at that coffee place," He said and I sighed in relief. "Come pick me up," I said and cut the phone before he could respond.
That's the only way to get Ricky to do anything for you.
Moments later, his truck pulled up and I helped Harley get int the backseat and I climbed in the front. "Where to?" He asked and I unlocked my phone. "Do you wanna go home?" I asked Harley and she murmured something that I assumed is a yes.
"What's up with her?" He whispered and I waved him off. "Drop her home and then I'll come with you and explain." I said as I called Athena and waited for her to answer.
"Hey girl, you coming to the coffee shop?" She asked as I lifted one leg onto the seat so I could be more comfortable. "Yeah, we're on our way. Could you get Carter down there too?" I asked as I rested one elbow against the window.
"Get your feet off my chair," Ricky argued and I shushed him. "Y-Yeah sure, I mean I'll try," She answered. "If he complains, say it's me asking," I said and ended the call.
We pulled up at Harley's house and I turned around. "We're here, go inside and get some sleep," I said softly and she nodded as she opened the door and stumbled slightly out of the car. She weakly shut the door and we waited until she was inside before he started driving again.
"Okay, spill. What happened? She looks like she's high off molly," Ricky commented and my mouth hung open in shock. "Ricky!" I hissed as I swatted his arm.
"I'm not gonna tell it twice so just wait until we're at the coffee shop with the others." I added as I looked down at Carter's text.
He sent it hours ago but I've been putting it off cause I didn't know how to respond. I've been slightly on edge all day cause I've bee trying to avoid him since lunch.
I unlocked my phone as i looked at the text chain once more.
carter: come find me after school
me: bro I'm busy. i got shit to do
carter: like what?
me: staying away from u
carter: do u always gotta be this mean?
me: uno, you're lucky I'm even helping you.
carter: ouch :(
carter: well you're lucky you're cute. that's the only reason why im letting u help me

I sighed as I unlocked the door to my house and shut it behind me. I dumped my school bag on the sofa and removed the invisibility spell.
It looks worse than when I last saw it.
I sighed as I stepped past the goo oozing off the side of the counter. I picked a shard of what used to be a plate.
A lot of our plates and cups were the last we had of my grandparents. They were travellers and always brought something back for me. It was all in our kitchen.
And now it's gone.
I grabbed a pair of gloves and tied up my hair. I grabbed a bin bag and started picking up the shards on the table. Something shifted in the air and I didn't look up when Chase appeared next to my staircase.
"What do I have to do to get you to stop invading my personal space?" I asked as I continued cleaning and he approached me. "You can let me help you?" He said softly and I turned around and looked in the sink before grimacing. "How the fuck did you do all of this by yourself?" I ask gesturing to the whole kitchen and he shrugged.
Is he serious right now?
He grabbed a bag and began picking up shards on the floor. I watched him for a while as he attempted not to cut himself. I turned around and began attempting to fix the sink but I turned my head as I heard him hiss.
I walked over to him and bent down as he looked at the small cut on the palm of his hand. I must've stared at it for too long, as the flashes from the roof appeared in my face. I gasped loudly and stumbled backwards as he rushed over to me.
Luckily, I fell into the space that was clean but I took a few deep breaths as I looked up to the ceiling. Chase's face appeared in my line of vision and he looked panicked. "Are you okay? It's already healed," He said as he showed me his hand and I nodded whilst looking into his eyes.
He helped me up and I let go of his hand and fixed the back of my skirt. "Harl, look at me please," He pleaded as I pushed my hair back.
"It's Harley," I corrected him and he took my hand with both of his and placed it against his chest.
"I-If you look into my head or read my emotions and stuff you'll see-" he began and I moved my hand. "I don't want to look in your head," I said as I took a step back. "Damn it Chase, you're so confusing!" I said loudly as I tugged on my hair. "You spent the entire time we was at the Valley insulting me and screaming about how you didn't like me-" I rambled as angry tears streamed down my face.
He tried to calm me down but it honestly only made things worse. "You don't feel anything, you never have. Believe me, I've tried to feel what you feel, but I don't feel anything." I said as I looked into his eyes.
"When you kissed me that night, I felt nothing." I added and he looked away from a moment before settling his eyes back on me. "Maybe you didn't open yourself up to truly feel what I do," He countered as he held both sides of my head in his hands. He gently moved my hair out of my face and his finger brushed against my lips and I instantly grabbed his hands with mine.
"I never want to feel what you feel ever again," I said softly as I slowly moved his hands from the sides of my face.

"What the hell, is she okay?" Carter asked as he looked at me and I pushed my side-swept bangs in one motion before leaning back against the plush pillows on the booth. Carter adjusted his arm over my side of the booth and I immediately sat up straight and rested my elbows on the table.
"She's gonna be okay, Rick and I dropped her home," I said and Athena's eyes widened. "You dropped her home?" She repeated and I nodded and she groaned. "Ohhh, why would you do that?" She whined and I gave her a confused look.
"It's a long story, but basically Chase trashed her house and then ran," Athena said and my eyes widened. "Well where is Chase now?"I asked. "No one's seen him since he took off with Tina before lunch," Khloe said as she getsured to Athena.
"That's not the point. So what the ball thingy was alive?" Ricky asked and I nodded. "It was pulsing like a heart would and everything," I explained. "She tried to feel its energy and stuff and it gave her visions," I said I leaned back again. Carter fully rested his arm over my shoulder and I grabbed it and swung it over my shoulder and back on his lap.
No one responded to my movement and I don't want anyone to speak on it either.
"She kept repeating a date. The 19th of November 2016," I said and Athena cleared her throat and looked away whilst Khloe tapped on her hone. "The Skyfall building collapse," She said and it dawned on me. "Hey, isn't that the same incident that you envisioned that day near the Valley?" Ricky asked as he pointed to me.
"Y-Yeah," I said slowly.
"So the energy source must be linked somehow with the girl you saw," Khloe added. "The same girl that claimed she knew Athena," Carter added.
"I don't know who this girl is though," Athena said quickly and I felt myself slipping out of the conversation as the thoughts of that day came rushing back.
Why are your friends talking about me?
I lifted my head up quickly as I heard the voice.
It was the her.
You and your friends are all in danger...from me.
I grabbed Carter's hand under the table and he gave me a concerned look. "Are you okay?" He whispered but I kept my focus on the voice. "Luna, why didn't you realise it was the same girl from that day?" Khloe asked and I let go of his hand as the voice disappeared.
"I forgot about it until now," I mumbled as a loud clap of thunder echoed from outside and I turned my head as I looked outside.
Tell Athena I'll be coming to visit soon.
"We need to go back to the base," I said quickly as I looked at Athena and she gave me a bewildered look. "Where's Chase? Can someone reach him? Call Harley too." I said as I got up. Everyone called my name as I rushed out of the coffee shop and I stared out towards the Valley.
"Luna, what's wrong?" Carter said and I turned to face him. "We're not safe here," I said as another clap of thunder sounded and I visibly flinched.
"What do you mean? You're kinda scaring me here," He asked as his panicked face searched mine. "She's coming. And none of us are safe," I said as a stroke of lightning appeared out of nowhere. I looked up to the clouds as a gust of wind pushed my hair back.
"Are you doing this? Please tell me it's you doing this," I said frantically and he shook his head. The others rushed out of the store. "Have you tried to reach Harley and Chase?" I asked and they all shook their heads.
"Well call them!" I urged and Khloe pulled out her phone. "Why is she showing us the Skyfall incident?" I mumbled to myself as I started pacing around. "Chase is with Harley. Someone needs to go and get them," Khloe said as she rushed back to us.
"I'll go," Athena said as she unlocked her car and got in. "Meet us at the base," I yelled and she gave me a thumbs up from inside her car and sped out of the parking lot.
Ricky and Khloe got in his truck and drove off whilst I got in Carter's jeep. "What caused the Skyfall building to collapse?" I asked and I searched it up on my phone. My eyes scanned over the screen as I read it aloud. "The building fell due to an electromagnetic field that formed under the building's foundation,"
"Isn't the city run on like, really high levels of electricity?" I asked as Carter drove. "I-I don't know," he stuttered. We were past the Valley and was headed towards the base.
"Are you sure this has to do with that building?" He asked and I nodded.
"I-I mean it all makes sense. Me that day, the lightning ball, Harley, it all adds up," I explained but I don't think he seemed to understand. The thunder calmed down and the skies cleared but I still felt shaken up. "I know I asked already, but it's only cause I care," He said and I already knew his question.
"I always knew there was something weird about our town," I said as I stared outside. "This girl. I'm hearing her voice in my head. We are all connected to her somehow, a-and I don't know why."
"Do you think she's coming after us?" He asked and I thought about it for a moment before shaking my head.
"N-No, because she only knows Athena personally. The electricity that runs through the city is under the Hart's family name, which caused the Skyfall collapse," I said as I stared off in the distance.
"This girl isn't just coming for us, at least I don't think she ever was,"
We arrived at the base and Ricky's truck pulled up shortly after. Carter killed the engine before looking at me, but I kept my head straight ahead.
"She's coming for the whole town,"
