I barely slept after what happened.
I tossed and turned but sleep didn't wanna sweep me away like it usually did.
To be fair, it was one hell of a weekend.
After he kissed me, we made out some more and then he said he was going to get his phone from downstairs, but he never came back up.
My conscience is telling me that I'll probably find him passed out halfway up the stairs because that's how much of a loser he is, but I know deep down that he's probably not even in the house.
Chase is a very closed-off person.
I mean, according to him, he's lived in Wervieme his whole life, but I've never seen him before. He even said he goes to Woodcreek, but as I said before, I've never seen him.
I know nothing of his family, or where he lives, but I'm going to assume that since he didn't want to go home for whatever reason, that maybe it was complicated. I checked my clock and it was 6 already. I sighed as I got up and showered. I straightened my hair and got dressed in my uniform.
I pulled up my fishnet tights and my sneakers and shrugged on my tight jumper. I accidentally got a size down, but I've been told that it makes me look thinner, so I'm not against it. I attempted to shrug down my skirt but the shortness can't really be fixed. I sighed as I grabbed a black hoodie and my school bag and headed downstairs. I was texting Carter to pick me up on my phone when I reached the bottom of the staircase.
"Hey there," Chase said as he got up from the island chair, fully dressed in his uniform. He opened his arms for a hug and I accepted it. He kissed the top of my head and I sighed deeply. A loud car honk sounded through the house and I jumped. I looked around.
No one was here.
I was alone.
I quickly grabbed my headphones and house keys and locked the door behind me.

Athena and I walked through the school halls as everyone began leaving their classes for lunch. "Well this past weekend was a lot," I said as I held my books towards my chest and she scoffed. "That is the understatement of the year," She said as we joined the line to get food. "Hey, have you guys seen Carter?" Harley asked as she joined us and I shrugged.
"I think he had economics with Luna," Athena said and she pointed to a table in the middle of the cafeteria and Luna was sitting at it with Chase and Carter. "Oh thanks, I'll meet you guys there," Harley said as she walked towards the table. "I'm really not a fan of this group we've formed," Athena grumbled as she picked up a salad from the food aisle.
"It's not the worst thing in the world," I replied as I picked up one too and a chocolate bar. "No, the worst thing is that you managed to wrap Carter around your finger, all whilst getting Ricky to fall for you too," She teased and my mouth hung open.
"No, I didn't!" I exclaimed and she laughed as she grabbed two water bottles and handed one to me. "Come on, I catch you kissing Ricky at what, 4 am in the morning, and everyone notices the glares Carter gives him whenever he touches you," She continued as we paid for our food and I rolled my eyes.
"Carter doesn't know what he wants," I muttered as my mind drifted to last night. I shook the thought out of my head as we slowly walked towards the tables. "I wanna sit in our usual place," Athena whined as she motioned to the jocks and cheerleaders on the large table and I grimaced. "I'll pass," I said as I walked past her and headed towards the table with the rest of the group.
"Lemme guess, Athena can't risk her social status by sitting with us?" Chase teased and I shrugged. "No she just doesn't like you guys," I replied nonchalantly and they all looked at me. "Kidding," I smiled and they got the joke.
If only they knew...
Athena slumped in the seat next to me. "Why'd you have to leave me?" She grumbled and I smiled as I opened my salad box. "I knew you were gonna come here anyway," I teased. Harley lifted up her spoon of rice and stopped. "No way," She gasped and I gave her a curious look.
"What's up guys?" I heard Ricky's voice and my eyes widened. I turned around and he walked up to our table. "What are you doing here?" I laughed as I got up and gave him a hug. "Don't get your hopes up. I don't go to this school," He scoffed and my face fell.
"It would so much more fun if you went here," I pouted and he shrugged as he greeted Chase with a handshake before sitting in my seat. He pushed the chair back and I sat on his lap as I reached for my chocolate bar.
My eyes glanced at Carter who was angrily swiping on his phone. I glanced at Harley and she was already looking at me, and her face said it all.
"So what are you doing here," Athena teased and he shrugged. "Just thought I should come and pay my only friends a visit." He answered as he took my salad and took a bite. "What about me?" Luna asked and he sighed. "You will always be my friend," He gushed and she smiled in content.
He took another forkful and held it out for me. I held my hand over his and guided it into my mouth, before letting go. "You guys are really gross. It's entertaining to watch," Luna teased and I looked up from my chocolate bar and she was resting her head on her hands as she smirked at me and Ricky.
"Okay, stop that," I said as I pointed towards her and she shrugged as she leaned back in her seat. "No seriously, I ship it," Harley joined in and Luna nodded in agreement.
"You know, you shared a fork, so you basically indirectly kissed-" Athena teased. "Okay, I can't be around you people, I'm gonna get my phone from my locker," I said as I stood up. "Yeah, I better head out too," Ricky said as he stood up. "Byeee Ricky!" Luna said loudly and in a fan-girlish voice as she waved at him and Harley laughed loudly. He waved back as I smirked and walked away. "So where are we going?" Ricky said as he swung his arm over my shoulder.
"Smoothhh!!!" Luna yelled as we continued walking and I flipped her off without turning around.
"I am going to my locker," I answered as I threw the remains of my chocolate in the trash and we both walked through the halls that were filled scarcely with freshmen. "So why are you actually here?" I asked as we walked casually towards my locker. "Well, I thought we should talk," He began as he placed his hand in his hoodie.
"About?" I said as we stopped at my locker and I put in my combination. "That morning in Athena's kitchen?"He continued and I paused before opening my locker. "Ohh, that..." I said as I pulled out my phone from my blazer pocket.
"We never exactly finished what we started," He said as he rested his elbow against the side of my locker and leaned forward as I unlocked my phone. "Okay, okay," I said as I playfully pushed him away from me. "You shouldn't be here," I hissed as I leaned closer to him and he leaned forward too and smiled. "Why? Cause I'm not in your little uniforms?" He asked as he tugged on my black and white tie I swatted his hand.
Our uniforms were very basic. Black pleated skirts, white shirts, black cardigans (or jumpers) with a black tie with the school logo. We have blazers too, but no one really wears the blazers, other than the freshman. And obviously, the girls choose what tights and shoes they wanna wear.
"Hey, our uniforms aren't that bad," I shot back and he smirked as he looked me up and down. "That's cause you look hot in it," He teased as his hands brushed my waist and rested on my hips and I brushed my hair from my shoulders.
He stared down at me and leaned closer until our lips brushed. "Ricky, I-" I mumbled as he held the side of my face. "Let it happen," He mumbled and kissed me deeply. I kissed him back and savoured the feeling.
It lasted a long time but felt like seconds. I pulled away first and stared down at my suspender tights. "Soo you did come here for me?" I teased and he grinned. "I'll only ever come to this hellhole for you," He muttered as he eyed the high ceilings, white tiled floors and dark green lockers that seemed to stretch for days.
"I gotta go," He mumbled as he kissed the top of my head and pushed himself off my locker and walked away. I sighed as I watched him disappear through the main doors. I shut my locker and speed-walked back to the cafeteria as I gripped my phone in my hand.
I pushed open the cafeteria doors and swished my hips playfully and bopped my head sideways before sitting down in my seat as Luna, Harley and Athena moved so they could sit closer to me. "You guys kissed didn't you?" Luna gushed as I sat back in my seat with my arms crossed and a playful grin on my face. "Oh my god, they totally did!" Athena squealed and I kept smiling as I looked at the table.
"Ohmygosh, he like totally kissed you didn't he?!" Chase squealed in a girlish voice and I looked up and we all laughed at him. Carter got up and left the table as everyone laughed but I seemed to be the only person that noticed. I turned back to everyone else and put my phone down on the table. "Okay, so maybeee we did," I said as I flicked my hair and they all squealed.
I'm pretty sure everyone in the cafeteria was watching us right now, but I don't care.

The last bell of the day rang and I left my biology class with Athena. "I'll see you later," She said as we parted ways and I walked towards my locker and found Carter leaning against it. "Hey, you disappeared at lunch," I said as I approached him and unlocked my locker.
"Yeah, I didn't wanna hear about Ricky," He mumbled and I stopped before looking at him. "Jealousy is not cute on you," I teased as I opened my locker door. "You know, I thought you didn't like her," I said as I crossed my arms and he shook his head.
"Cause, I recall her being so hurt when you rejected her, and now all of a sudden you like her?" I questioned as I put my books in my school bag and left my blazer inside. "W-Well I mean, I don't," He stuttered and I rolled my eyes.
"Come on Carter, I already know you like her. I can feel it every time you guys are in the same room," I said as I pulled out my headphones from my locker and closed it behind me.
I also know he has a thing for Luna, but that's been happening for ages now. Before everything happened, she was closed off so it was more of a fantasy but now that we're all friends, he has a better chance.
But he obviously likes Khloe too.
"No I don't," He repeated as he swung his arm over my shoulder and I rolled my eyes as we walked down the corridor. "Carter I am not having this conversation with you," I said as I put on my headphones. We headed to the parking lot and got into his jeep.
"Where we going?" He asked and I moved one side of the headphone away from my ear. "We're meeting everyone at the diner," I said and he shifted the gear before looking behind him and reversing. "Stop thinking about her. It's giving me a headache," I grumbled as I put my headphones on properly.
"Sooo, what happened last night?" He teased and I rolled my eyes. "I really wish I didn't hear you say that," I commented. "Did you use protection?" He asked and I scoffed. "No dad, we didn't use protection because we didn't have sex," I drawled as I shrugged off my headphones.
The car fell silent.
"Oh," He muttered.
"Yeah. Oh," I muttered as I stared out of the window.
