I tossed and turned all night as I thought about my conversation with Carter.
I don't even think I like him anymore, I mean he hurt me really bad and right now, I'm more interested in getting to know everyone else.
And Harley...I mean if she felt what I did earlier that day, that must've hurt her really bad.
I sat up in my bed and sighed as I pushed my hair out of my face. I looked out of the window and the moon was in the air. I got out of the bed and entered the closet.
There is usually always spare clothes just lying around somewhere so I sifted through what was in my wardrobe and picked out a sweater and matching tracksuit bottoms.
I put on some trainers and tied my hair up. It was just past 2:30 am when I jumped off the patio and onto the dusty ground. I walked a few metres out and stared up at the sky.
"Okay, um," I muttered to myself as I shook my hands around.
Just imagine yourself as an animal, and then do it.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I calmed myself and felt the energy within me rushing to my head as I opened my eyes and transformed.
I looked at my feet and felt myself levitating and realised I had wings. I flew higher until the house was minuscule.
Okay, land and turn into something else.
I flew closer to the ground and had a rough landing, and by that I mean I landed on my face.
I shook it off and transformed and lifted my hand up and saw paws. I turned around and saw my tail and tried to reach for it and ended up running in circles.
"Khloe?" A voice said and I looked up. My vision was a lot sharper and I saw Ricky jumping onto the ground from the patio. He slowly approached me as I panicked.
"I don't wanna hurt you!" I shouted, but I'm pretty sure all he got from that was a growl. He stepped back and I started moving around.
Okay, uhh transform back, just transform back!
"Uhh Khloe, if that's you, and I'm gonna assume that it is because you don't find tigers around here," He said with an awkward laugh.
"I-I-I'm scared!" I shouted but it only came out as another growl. He advanced towards me and I immediately stepped back. "Hey, hey, it's okay," He said softly as he slowly continued advancing towards me, and held out his hand. I stopped moving as I stared at his hand. He looked up at me and I slowly lifted my paw.
"Hey, that's it," He encouraged and I moved closer and placed my paw on his hand. I closed my eyes and felt myself, transforming and a cloud of dust erupted around me as I found myself falling. He moved quickly and caught me with ease as I coughed for a while and opened my eyes.
"So I wasn't talking to a wild tiger?" He teased and I laughed as I stood up. "Nope, if you see any weird animals around, it's probably just me," I shrugged as I moved my hair but winced as I felt a pain in my arm. "Oh shoot, we should head back inside," He said and my eyes widened as I took in the large cut on my arm. I suddenly lost all feeling in my arm and I squeezed my eyes shut as Ricky guided me back to the house, but through the front door.
We were as quiet as possible and headed into the kitchen and I sat on the kitchen island while Ricky rummaged around for any medical box. "Oh wait, I completely forgot," I laughed to myself and Ricky raised an eyebrow as he stood upright. I closed my eyes and waited for the tingly feeling on my fingertips and I opened my eyes again.
I twisted my arm so I could see the cut more clearly and danced my fingers just over the wound. I winced as I closed my eyes and felt my arm gaining feeling again.
I opened my eyes and watched as the orange energy trails danced over my arm. Eventually, the glow disappeared and I smiled as I looked at it. "Good as new," I grinned as I poked my finger through the hole in the sweatshirt and there was no cut.
"You couldn't have done that outside?"Ricky asked as he folded his arms and I smiled. "I'm sorry," I pouted and he smiled. "Don't worry about it. I'm glad you're okay," He said as he rested his hands on my waist and moved closer, and I stopped.
We were inches apart.
I wanted to move away, but I couldn't.
"Ricky-" I mumbled and he smirked as his eyes flickered between mine and my lips and my breath hitched slightly as I found myself moving closer. He softly placed his lips on mine and I kissed him back for a fraction of a second before the lights flicked on and instead of moving away, I hid my face in the crook of his shoulder.
"Hey guyss," Athena teased and I groaned as I kept my head on his shoulder. "Hi Athena," He said back and I could hear the smile in his voice. He didn't move to take his arms off my waist as I lifted my head up and smiled at my incredibly nosy, best friend.
"Whatcha doing?" She teased as she leaned against the door frame and I sighed. "I couldn't sleep," I admitted as she sipped on her milkshake.
I don't even know where she got that from.
"What you couldn't sleep on your bed or is it just more comfortable in his arms?" She asked as she tilted her head and gestured to Ricky's hand on his waist, which he immediately moved and stepped back.
He scratched the back of his head whilst I moved my hair away from my face. "I'm gonna go and get some sleep," I said as I hopped off the counter and didn't look Ricky in the eye. I glared at Athena, who waved back at me, as I walked past and headed up the stairs and into my room.

I shifted around on my bed as I felt the sun streaming through my room and I got up and took off the t-shirt I slept in. I was left with my panties and a sports bra as I went into the closet and attempted to pick out some clothes.
I'm still surprised this room even has clothes in here.
"Nope, I spoke too soon," I muttered to myself as I scanned the identical coloured logo on all the clothing. There were different colours and sizes but it was all basic clothes; sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, joggers, shorts, leggings.
I picked out a purple crop top with sweats and headed into the bathroom. I showered and changed and re-emerged from the bathroom, with my damp hair. I stopped and the atmosphere in my room shifted as my eyes glowed for a second. I quickly turned around and saw Chase sitting in the spot I was sitting at last night.
"It's a bit early for you to be intruding in on my space, don't you think?" I asked as I crossed my arms. He was in a grey vest top with joggers and a zip-up hoodie. The hoodie was slightly tight so his muscles showed through and I attempted to look away from his arms.
"Just thought I'd ask if you wanna go exploring," He shrugged as his eyes slowly raked over my body and I raised my eyebrow. "I found a passageway in your room," He added and I scoffed. "I already checked in here there are no shortcuts," I argued and he got up and headed to the wall next to the closet.
"Not all of them," He says slowly as he feels around the wall. "Are easy to find," He finished as he hit a section of the wall with the side of his fist twice and the wall pushes backwards and slides to the left, revealing tunnel.
"So you really wanna do this?" I asked as I grabbed the headphones on the counter and placed them around my neck and he nodded. "Come on, let's go," He said as he held out his hand and I smirked before ignoring his gesture and walking into the wall.
The wall shifted back into place and he flicked his hand and a small flame appears. He lit one of the torches on the side of the wall and the rest of them lit up too.
"These are definitely some of the older tunnels since there's no light fixture," I mumbled and he smirked. "You know, you'd be more attractive if you weren't so smart," He teased and I rolled my eyes. "And maybe I'd want to fuck you if you weren't so busy being an ass," I shot back and he feigned hurt as I put on my headphones and walked past him and down the tunnel.

"Hey you want pancakes?" I asked Carter as he trudged down the stairs in nothing but navy blue joggers. I almost dropped the pan, but I remained cool.
He likes Khloe.
But she was kissing Ricky....
Does that make him available?
"Athena!" He said loudly and I jumped and whipped the pan backwards. The batter flew and splattered across my face and I froze. He laughed as he reached towards my face.
"You got a little," He smiled as he reached forward to wipe my face. "Uhh hey guys," Khloe said as she walked in and I swatted Carter's hand away. He rubbed his hands together and Khloe raised her eyebrow at me as I smiled weakly and headed to the counter to clean my face.
"So, Khlo how was your night?" I asked as I turned on the tap. "Oh, um it was kinda rough but good," She answered as I turned back around and left the pan in the sink.
I made way too many pancakes anyways.
"Well I was hoping I could take you all to show you around the grounds. Has anyone seen Chase and Harley?" I asked as I wiped my hands clean.
Carter and Khloe exchanged looks before shrugging. "Well anyways, if you find them, tell them we're all going later," I said as I headed towards the fridge.
"And also, the orange looks great," I say as I point to Khloe and she shrugged it off with a smile.
I picked up my tablet on the counter and headed upstairs and to my room.
"Okay Thissa, can I have an update on the Masked Hero attacks?" I asked and the screen attached to the wall in my room lights up.
"Sure, Miss Hart. Today's date is the 24th September 2020. The last known attack happened on the 17 May 2016 at the Skyfall Building." She answered and I sighed as I rested my hands on my desk.
Thissa is my home security system. I'd never admit it to anyone but she was the only person I could talk to for a long time, until I made a friend, but she moved away. Then I met Khloe.
"So the pictures are still up?" I muttered. "That is correct Miss Hart." She answered and I looked up from my desk and sat on my seat. "Okay, show me," I replied and the projector from my ceiling lit up and various amounts of pictures appeared in front of me. I used my finger to scroll sideways and I sighed as I looked at the numerous news reports and pictures of the ruins.
I pressed on a video and sat back in my seat as I waited for it to load. It was a footage from outside and the building shook vigorously. The camera moved and zoomed in on a figure crouching in pain in front of the building. "What are you doing?! Make it stop!" A girl yelled and the figure screamed in pain.
"I CAN'T!" I winced at the volume of the shouting from the video.
The building came crashing down and fell into a deep hole. The person holding the phone cursed before running towards the hole. There are sirens echoing in every direction as the recorder zoomed in on stragglers attempting to climb out of windows.
The girl screams as the building continues descending further into the ground and I cut the tape. "Miss Hart, you need to stop traumatising yourself with the same footage," Thissa said and I ran my hands through my hair. "I'm not forcing myself to watch this, I was there," I muttered as I grabbed my tablet.
"Thissa, locate everyone in the house," I said as I unlocked the tablet and her logo appeared on my laptop screen before a map of the house appeared with coloured dots of each person.
"Carter is in the sitting room, Ricky is in the kitchen and...that's it," She responded and I frowned as I attempted to tap each room. "What do you mean that's it? Where's Khloe, Chase and Harley?" I asked and I froze.
I stormed towards my "closet" and shut the door behind me as I used my powers to descend the elevator. I came out and shut the door behind me and scanned the lab.
My eyes zeroed on the beakers and I realised that they've been moved. "Thissa, who else has been down here?" I asked and I speed-walked towards the garage and pressed the button next to it. The doors opened and my helicopter sat in its place.
"The footage is fried. There's nothing between 6 and 11pm last night." I panicked as I opened one of the tunnel doors.
I memorised this place back to front, so I know where I am at all times. I quickly walked through one of the main tunnels and appeared in the kitchen. Laughter echoes the sitting room as I rush in to find everyone sitting on the sofa.
I peered closely at Harley and Chase and they seem fine. Khloe looks restless, but that could be because Carter is glaring at Ricky's arm that's resting over her shoulder.
"Tina, you okay?" Khloe asked and I looked up.
"Yeah," I sighed.
