"So your telling me... It turned into some kansen?" Erich asked a hint of surprise in his tone which was the least Rosaline expected given how calm he was when compared to Lauren who did not hide the flabbergasted look on her own face.

"Yes... that exactly what happened and I have no idea how and why." Rosaline replied telling them the summary of what happened... though she altered it a bit, keeping some parts that left no plot holes that will not contradict her words.

Rosaline doubted that they'll believe her words or think of her insane if they ever find out that Rosaline was the kansen biological mother which was absurd and even she was still trying to accept it.

Its not often nor common to see that you found yourself as the mothers of an alien ship who's father you did not even know or remembered also how did they ended up with a kid without knowing it.

The fogs is a complete mysterious that is leaving more and more questions why exactly they were here and what they've intended to do with humanity if they did not want to drive them to extinction.

What was the fogs end goal and what do they hope to gain from isolating the sea from mankind? To make them suffer and kill them slowly? If so... then they're cruel beings if they want to toture them.

That is only one of many speculations in the many years since the fog isolated the sea from humanity and prevented them from sailing through the waters that their ancestors once sailed without care.

Where the only danger are the ship that they sail with or the natural disasters at sea seeking to drown them... at least those are predictable and can be maneuvered easily by most of mankind.

Avoiding them or creating methods that allowed them to overcome the dangers of the sea... while the fog, they're a threat that adapts and countered every method that humanity would try to use.

The fog is an enigma that humanity had been trying to unravel but the more they do... the more questions they know that are left unanswered... leaving them in circles with no idea what its going on.

Few will realize that the fog was playing with them, fooling them into thinking that they stand a chance against the fog only to know they're being played, the game they're in had always been rigged.

Their fate being decided by the whim of cosmic beings from beyond who's goal are incomprehensible, that they are but chest pieces used to further move the game one step at time till it finds an end.

There is no choice only what is ordained by the fog... mankind fate hanged in the balance and their actions are constantly predicted by the fog in order to reach the desired outcome that the fog seeked.

It's a force that's both living and sentient able to make move of it's own which made it unpredictable and impossible to avoid and maneuver, when you know that it is you that the fog seek to destroy.

It's both an unstoppable and unmovable force that you can reasoned with when it specifically wants you to not try to sail the seas again or else you will be killed... few survive to live the tale of sailing the ocean infested by the fogs for a century.

Fewer would ever be recover from their foolishness to defy the fog... only death awaited those that do defy the fog because as they say... you cannot reason with a calamity that wants to kill you because you had trespassed it's territory.

All you can do is pray, not for mercy but to pray that you are given a quick death, no one knows what happens when one's inside the fog, a horrible fate await any unfortunate who'll venture into the fog.
