———————————————"Baby!! Come on! We finna be late!"
"I'm coming!" Alex shouted back at me.
"Damn Derek, it takes a woman a hot minute to get ready."
"I know, but Alex always taking forever."
"Where yall going anyway?"
"I got us tickets to poetry night at Groove Theory."
"Oh, that's cute, you really took into consideration of her writing talent and that's dope. Alexandra is a phenomenal writer and singer."
"Oh, you ain't gotta tell me, I know. I interrupted her 'creative session' one day and she almost bit my head off."
Texas snickered knowingly.
"You talking about me? Huh?" She asked coming down the stairs.
"Uh, yeah, I was..." I trailed off, admiring how amazing she looked.
"Damn Choo, your snap back is crazy! That bawdy baby!" Texas said hyping Alex up.
"You see it!" Alex said as she playfully modeled the dress, turning around as Texas snapped her picture.
Alex grabbed Destiny from me. "Let me say bye to my baby. Bye, my sweet angel face, mommy's gonna miss you," she murmured, showering Destiny with kisses.
"Babe, don't start crying." I replied.
"I'm not, but it's our first night away from her."
"Choo, she'll be fine! I promise. Maybe I'll call Aunt Rose and make it a girls night." Texas suggested.
"Yeah sure, but make sure it stays a girls night. I don't want my father here or anywhere near Destiny." Alex warned.
"Ok babe, we gotta go forreal." I said grabbing the keys.
