Anthony looked up for the tenth time during investigations to see him. A paler male with unkempt black hair that looked like a hurricane and cuts all over, black voids were his eye sockets were, and the skin burned away on the left side of his jaw, revealing jagged teeth. His arms were gangly looking and covered in bandages from his elbows to his wrists, and his legs were covered in bandages beneath the shredded jeans he wore. His clothes, a yellow T-shirt and normal jeans were ripped, torn, and covered in scorch marks. A ghastly sight. He wore converse that were beat up and covered in soot.

Brow furrowed, Anthony waved over his assistant, Steven, to take over. He happily did so, as Anthony stepped over to the male that noone else noticed. Closer up, he looked almost normal, but extremely beat up. His limbs weren't actually gangly, Anthony noticed, just thinner and covered in bruises. The pools of emptiness in his eye sockets had little rings of brown in the depths, and the boy emitted a faint humming. His edges seemed to blur the air around him, and the space definitely seemed colder. Like sticking your hand in a bucket of ice.

Anthony had seen the male countless times before, on cases that were pinned to a series of believed murders, that were not linked.

Steven walks up to him, looking concerned.

"Are you okay, Mr. Chaos?"

Anthony blinks and looks down at him,

"Yeah."

"The stress of the killings must be getting to you, huh?"

Steven asks, and then hesitates,

"That's what's been going around the office right now."

"I'm quite fine,"

Anthony says, a bit harsher. He just wanted to know why a damn spectre was showing up like a lost puppy.

I'm suddenly very intrigued by the outcome of this story.

Should this become a new book entirely?

Let me know-- I need feedback on the idea!
