"Halcyon, get back here," Harp commanded as the small golden wyvern tried to crawl past her and ott it the cave entrance. She didn't want her baby going outside the cave just yet. He was still a little small and young for her liking. Maybe in a few weeks she'd let him leave the nest, obviously with supervision.

She had to be wary of potential predators. Humans were a very big threat to her hatchling. They'd want to seize him away and put him in a cage like they had Taron and her eggs. She wouldn't allow that to ever happen to her child even if it killed her in the process.

Another thing that she really didn't want to admit to herself and a huge predator to her hatchling.  Godzilla, the King of the Monsters. If he found out she had a brood with the enemy, he'd want them all dead.

Luckily, she didn't have to worry about that a lot. Ghidorah always checked the perimeters everyday and never strayed too far from the nest in case of an emergency.

Harp grabbed Halcyon by the scruff with her beak and placed him in front of her as he tried scrambling over her to get outside where his fathers were. Harp cooed at him and tried so desperately to keep him in the cave.

All thoughts left her head though as she heard Ghidorah's warning cry. Harp gathered Halcyon and tucked him into her underbelly as she got up to investigate. She walked over to the mouth of the cave and looked out onto the ocean only to see glowing blue fins heading straight for them.
