Harp is a griffin titan who remains at Godzilla's side, helping to protect Mothra's cocoon. This is how we imagined a sequel to King of the Monsters before we watched Godzilla vs Kong. Google docs deleted our story, and we had to write the whole entire story again, so we hope you enjoy!

When Mothra had sacrificed herself for Godzilla in the Battle of the False King, he knew that she would return to him. Everyone knew that. She always returned no matter what. The only question was where was the location of her egg.

For six months now, Godzilla had traversed the globe searching. Each day brought little to no success. Actually, it was always no success. Not a single person had seen the egg containing their beloved Queen. It was quite frustrating for Godzilla. He had to find her. That was at the very top of his bucket list of priorities. He just couldn't live in a world without the beautiful giant moth. He was going to find her, claws down.

Then, after so many months of searching, Godzilla felt it. A connection. It was small but it was there. Diving down into the depths of the ocean, the overgrown lizard swam as fast as he could towards the signal his Queen was giving off. After some time, he resurfaced to find an island, untouched by man. All of its beauty was from nature itself, nothing else. Mothra's signal was practically vibrating in the air. Godzilla could see why his Queen had picked this place. It was very beautiful. Just like her.

Finding a cave on the west side, Godzilla knew that his Queen was in there. He could feel it in his gut. Getting down on all fours, the King of the Monsters entered. He couldn't see a thing as he crawled through what felt like endless darkness. However, he didn't need his eyes. He was following the connection he shared with Mothra. After rounding a corner, he was greeted by a bioluminescent light. There was no doubt about who it was producing the light show.

Mothra.

Spying her egg nestled in a cradle like rock structure, Godzilla let out the biggest sigh of relief in his entire life. She was safe and sound. He quietly took a step forward towards the egg containing his Queen. At that moment, two female Titans emerged from their hiding places amongst the cave's stalactites. The King instantly recognized them. The one on his left was Taron, a giant bird of prey with black, red and white feathers. The one on his right was his loyal friend Harp, a griffin who's colors were like that of a blue jay. Their eyes, different shades of blue, were fixed on the overgrown lizard as they growled menacingly. Unfazed, Godzilla growled back.

Startled, Taron practically jumped out of her skin. Harp remained steadfast, meeting Godzilla's eyes with an even stare. No one moved a muscle for one whole minute, the tension high in the air. At least, for a little bit. Her frown quietly turning to a smile, Harp trilled, "My King." Both her and Taron bowed. Dipping his head, Godzilla rumbled, "Harp, Taron. It's so good to see you both. But why on Earth did you not tell me about this?"

"We had to protect the Queen-" Taron piped up, only to be interrupted by the sound of rustling. All eyes turned towards the egg to find it actually vibrating, the light show becoming more intense. To the three Titans watching, they knew what this meant.

Mothra was hatching.

Leaning towards Taron, Harp whispered softly, "Let's give them some space." Very quietly, the two females left the cave and the two royals alone. Godzilla barely noticed their absence, his golden eyes were focused on the egg. Moving closer, he gently placed one clawed hand upon the surface of the glowing vibrating egg. This caused it to ripple even more as cracks began to appear. A moment later and Mothra was reborn. The Queen of the Monsters had returned.

Squirming out of the remains of her egg, Mothra looked up at Godzilla with happiness written all over her face as she chirped, "My King!" A soft smile on his face, the overgrown lizard purred in delight. It was so good to see the giant moth again, even if she was only a grub aka a child. Yet he could sense great wisdom in her. One could see it in her beautiful blue eyes.

Just then, Mothra's face darkened a little with dread. Godzilla could see that she was visibly shaking. Growing a little worried himself, the King of the Monsters asked the newborn grub softly, "What is it Mothra? Is there something wrong?" Still shaking, the Queen gazed up at the overgrown lizard with round eyes. She didn't want to tell him what she had just felt but she had no other choice. She was loyal to her King. She had to tell him.

"He's alive..." she mumbled softly, "Ghidorah is alive..."
