His dorsal plates cutting through the waves like it was nothing more than butter, Godzilla swam in dead silence. His eyes just above the water, he quietly gazed up. Flying above him was Mothra. Sadness was all that was written on her normally happy face. He had never seen her this sad in his entire life. The King quietly looked away to find the volcanic island up ahead.

And so was Ghidorah.

Having had stopped their roaring once San had gotten a sore throat, all three heads of Ghidorah had laid down beside the still body of Rodan. San had nuzzled the massive prehistoric reptile and cuddled him, trying to remember his scent. However, it was slowly becoming masked by the smell of death. Ichi was doing his best to comfort his youngest brother. All the while, Ni kept watch. He was the first to see Godzilla and Mothra arrive.

Quickly alerted about their visitors by Ni, Ichi lifted his head. Seeing Godzilla, a growl formed in his throat. The overgrown lizard had just stepped onto the island's beach when both the middle and right heads let out a fierce roar, causing him to stop in his tracks. Frightened at first, Mothra continued up towards the volcano and alighted down beside San and Rodan. Ichi and Ni allowed her, their attention focused on the King. Sighing heavily, Godzilla rumbled, "Please, I just want to see him."

"Why should we let you see him?! It's your fault he's gone!" Ni roared, his red eyes turning yellow while sparks came to life from his mouth. Ichi shot a look over at his brother, motioning for him to stop before things got worse. Luckily, the right head got the message. Returning his gaze towards Godzilla, Ichi muttered, "Why would you want to see him? You hate his guts, remember?" A sad look flashed in the King of the Monsters' eyes. It was brief but Ghidorah had seen it. Huffing, Ni growled, "Now you're feeling regret?!"

"I made a mistake, I'm sorry," Godzilla admitted, lowering his gaze. Ichi was a little shocked at what he had just heard come out of the overgrown lizard's mouth. He never thought he would ever hear the King of the Monsters admit that he was wrong and that he had made a mistake. Sure, he probably would tell Mothra but to anyone else, let alone Ghidorah?! Shaking his head side to side to rid himself of those thoughts, Ichi snarled, "Sorry is not going to bring him back! You showed him nothing but hatred after what happened about a year ago between us. You exiled him, which left him and his family open to an attack. And you refused to help him. Now he's gone. I hope you're happy, my King."

"Please stop arguing..." Mothra whimpered, laying next to a sobbing San. She was also crying her pain out. Godzilla and Ghidorah shut their mouths, not even in the mood to protest against the Queen. Sighing heavily, the King of the Monsters curled up on the beach as he murmured, "No, I'm not happy about what happened. I'm sorry."
