Swimming silently through the crystal blue waters of the ocean, Godzilla kept his eyes straight forward. He focused on nothing but what was in front of him. And all it was was endless shades of blue. All he felt was numbness. The overgrown lizard couldn't tell if it was from the water or the grief. His heart hung heavy deep inside his chest.

The King of the Monsters had lost track of time. All he knew was that Mothra was gone by about an hour before the sun rose into the sky, giving birth to a new day. That same sun was now burning brightly at its highest peak. And with each passing minute Godzilla grew more desperate to find the egg hosting his beloved Queen. Luckily for him, he had picked up a signal between the connection that they shared. It led him to the same island the last time this kind of thing happened. Coming up on the shore, Godzilla rested on the beach. It had been a long morning. And it would be a long while before Mothra was reborn.

Yet he vowed to wait for her no matter what.
