Y/N Pov.

As Clementine and I continue to draw, I notice Lee walking around. He walks to Lilly's room, over to Ben, then over to Kenny and Katjaa. I'm not sure what he is talking about, but it seems like he is telling everyone.

Clementine: Y/n.

I turn my head to look at Clementine.

Y/n: What's up?

Clementine: Look at what I drew!

She holds up a paper to me and on it is what looks like some leaf. It reminds me of that thing we did when we were still in school with the leaves and the coal.

Y/n: Is that leaf rubbing?

Clementine: Yeah! Remember when we went on that field trip to the botanical garden?

I think back and it does ring a bell.

Y/n: Yeah, I think so. Feels like forever ago, though.

Before I can say anything else, Lee walks up to us and we look at him from our spots.

Clementine: Hey, Lee.

Y/n: Hey, Lee. What's going on?

Lee looks at us as he smiles and looks at our drawings on the table.

Lee: Hey guys.

He pauses for a moment as he looks at us, almost looking unsure of himself. It looks like he has a lot on his mind.

Lee: I need to talk to you both for a second.

Clementine: Okey dokey.

Clementine stops drawing and we both look at him.

Y/n: You okay, Lee?

Lee kneels down beside us and takes a moment before saying anything.

Lee: Before I met you both and before the plague, I killed somebody.

Clem and I pause for a second as we hear Lee, but she speaks before I can.

Clementine: Oh. So that's what...

Lee: Yeah, that's it. It was a bad thing and there's no explaining it.

Confused, I look at Lee.

Y/n: Why are you telling us?

Lee: Because I didn't want to keep it to myself anymore. Do you have any questions?

Clementine shakes her head, but I think for a moment.

Y/n: Did they deserve it? The person you killed.

Lee: I'm...not sure. But I think so.

I look at Lee and sigh, patting his shoulder as I stay seated.

Y/n: Then that's all I need to hear.

Lee laughs a little bit.

Lee: Really? I thought you'd have more questions.

Y/n: Remember what my dad's job was?

Lee: Lawyer, right?

Y/n: Yep. And I'm gonna paraphrase something he once told me once.

Lee continues to look at me, as does Clementine, and I speak.

Y/n: Sometimes good people can do bad things, even the best people can, but that doesn't make them bad. There's not always a clear answer.

Lee: Sounds like your dad was a smart guy.

Y/n: He was. And after everything that has happened, I know you're a good guy. If you killed a guy, then I know you had a good reason for doing it. Clementine and I trust you, so try not to worry about it.
