Shock hit me stronger than it ever had before. My thoughts froze, and my feelings were paused. Right now all I acknowledged was fear and my instincts kicking in. I had to get away as soon as possible, and knowing Alex, he most likely won't be coming after me.

The feeling of sickness suddenly struck me, making me stagger down the corridors. «Check your phone, its vibration is loud,» a random girl complained when I passed her. I didn't answer, all I could think about was her being a bloodsucking vampire like Alex. I couldn't take her glares, so I avoided eye contact completely. I brought my phone up hesitatingly to see Dane's caller id on my screen. I picked it up quickly in hopes that he could help me in any way. «Figured him out?» he asked with confidence. «I get it, you were right, just-» I started. «I'm already here, but you'll have to walk a certain distance,» he cut me off. I paced loudly, feeling the stress pressuring my limits and ability to walk properly.

I tried opening one of the main doors of the castle with one hand, but I had to try several times before succeeding. "Fine," I said, realizing I hadn't answered him already. «I'm not going close to those devils, just keep walking," he said.

I ran as fast as I could when I made it outside, thinking of the one person I shouldn't be thinking of - Alex.

«That took you long,» he complained. «Yeah, well, I literally just ran all the way here from fucking vampires,» I paced. «Yeah, yeah,» he said. «I did!» I exhaled sharply. «I know,» he nodded, clearing his throat. «Didn't you come here by car?» I frowned. «Urm, no.» «Then how did you come here so fast?» I questioned. He seemed oddly stressed when I asked him that, but I guess he found a white lie to cover it up. «My brother's driving,» he told me. «Okay then, where is he?» I questioned.

To my surprise, his brother was actually here. He was driving a silver coloured car, a Honda it looked like. When he got out of the car, let's just say, I was a bit shocked. «He looks nothing like you,» I said, my jaw dropping immediately. «I know,» Dane scoffed softly as he rolled his eyes. His eyes were icy blue and bright, they were truly unique and eye-catching. «I've never seen eyes like his before, are those even natural?» I whispered. «Yes, they're natural,» Dane said, not sounding the slightest bit impressed.

His eyes were an astonishing sight, but they were also confusing me as they looked so much like contact lenses. «I'm sure you're curious about Alex. I'll tell you some things about him if you want,» Dane's brother offered. He was leaning against his car, waiting for us to eventually approach him. Clearly, I don't know Alex at all, and I'm not sure I want to anymore.
