"I never gave you the right to do this," Alex's voice growled loudly. I breathed normally now, calmed by Alex's protection from Jace. "Obviously you have no control over that girl, don't you see why?" Jace snapped.
I should've expected people like them to fight, but I didn't. It came as a surprise seeing them in a heated fight. This time, however, Alex was the one with the prevail over him. Jace was snickering as he glared up at Alex with his deep green eyes. He moved his hand up to his face to touch the blood Alex had drawn. "You've gone soft, Alex." Alex? Not Alexander? "Yeah, sure," Alex scoffed. Jace fell to the ground from the exhaustion, leaving Alex available to talk. "Patience will result with answers, Valerie. I will divulge my secrets with time, even though you might end up hating me after I've told you my last one."
