Taylor POV

"Now Taylor, Charlie, remember, no PDA. Charlie, I know this is your first paparazzi dealing, so don't stop and answer questions, keep your eyes down, and don't let go of Taylor okay?" My publicist spoke on speakerphone. "Alright, thank you." Charlie said which I echoed before hanging up and leaving the car, sunglasses on and hands intertwined with Charlie's. As soon as we began to walk I felt her hand start to shake. "TAYLOR TAYLOR is that your backup dancer?" "What are you doing with that girl?" "Are you gay?" "What's her name?" "Can we get a smile?" The paps shouted obnoxiously. I could feel Charlie panic. We quickened our pace, happy no fans had gathered. As soon as the door to the cafe shut I hugged Charlie, taking our hoods down and glasses off. "Are you okay?" She shrugged "a little shaken but I'm okay. You?" She asked which made me laugh "I've been doing this for 17 years darling. Nothing I'm not used to." I whispered the pet name. She shrugged and squatted down to pick up a kitten, carrying it to a table which had a fluffy cat on it. "Awww hi baby. Your so pretty, yes you are." I cooed, petting the rag doll cat. Eventually a barista came over "Hi, what can I do for you?" She asked. Charlie and I ordered some pastries and a coffee for each of us before I asked "what are these babies names?" To which the barista smiled brightly. "That one is Bartholomeow, he's actually quite old, I'm surprised he likes you. And the kitten is Regina. She's a cuddle bug." I nodded and the girl walked away. "She totally recognized you." Charlie laughed. The worker had spent all her time at the table facing Charlie, looking scared to glance at me. "Oh yeah, definitely." I giggled, watching the girl screech giddily through a window. We played with the cats for a long time and ate the stuff the barista bought. When Charlie had gone to get a toy the girl came up to me. "Excuse me? I'm really so sorry to bother you but do you think I could get a picture? If not that's alright though." I nodded and smiled brightly. "Of course, thank you for being so respectful. Any specific pose?" She smiled "um, could you kiss my cheek?" She asked and I nodded "sure." Her face absolutely lit up when we took the picture. Charlie came back over and chuckled "she's got lipstick on her cheek." I nodded "yeah I feel kind of bad" I laughed. Charlie shrugged "meh, any swiftie would be glad to have your lipstick on their face." Which made me laugh harder. "Really? Gosh you guys are crazy. Then again so am I." We both laughed at that, cats cuddling with us. Even if I can't love on my girl, this is a wonderful date. That is until I saw him. Jo-
