Trapped

A face,

A friend,

Anything to welcome me;

A light,

A sound,

Even a bite to eat?

But none will help me,

I'm trapped.

Sometimes wondering,

Sometimes enjoying myself,

Inside of my cramped cage.

Little do I know,

That I'm not really trapped,

There is an easy way out.

There's a way to stop my sin,

My pain, my longing,

My yearning for a new flesh.

A young man,

But in his youth,

Steps to my door,

A smile on his face,

And introduces me to

The LORD.
