Sooner or Later
Sooner or later we will
Come to our senses
Wondering why some are devastated
And why some will kill
Sooner or later we'll miss
The time before sin
Filled our lives
And took away each sinless kiss
Sooner or later we'll think and pray
About that pain and the loss
Of those before us
Who helped form what we are today
Sooner or later one will behold
All the consequences of
Our sinful lives
and all the evil foretold
Sooner or later one will be
Buried, cared for, and loved.
They will know that things are promised
beyond the rough current of life's sea.
