Acer saccharinum, commonly known as silver maple, creek maple, Silverleaf maple, soft maple, large maple, water maple, swamp maple, or white maple, is a species of maple native to the eastern and central United States and southeastern Canada. It is one of the most common trees in the United States.

Prized in North America, The Silver maple makes for a sturdier and more independent wand than the sugar maple. They are not as food or cooking oriented as well. Whereas the sugar maples help to support plants around it, the Norway maple discourages undergrowth. Thus, the owners of Silver maple prefer to work and travel alone and are not as good at dealing with other people, especially people in emotional distress. They tend to prioritize themselves and believe in being happy with themselves as people before pursuing romantic relationships. Those chosen by silver maple are more patient than the average maple wand owner.
