"Shawn wanted to come along with us" I told the girls as Shawn and I walked out of the house, me locking the door behind us.
"You do realise Shawn it's just a bunch of baby stuff we're going to look at?" Emily rose her eyebrows as we made our way towards the car.
"Yeah, I know, and I'm excited" Shawn said as I looked up at him to see a big smile spread across his lips.
I couldn't help but smile at how enthusiastic he was towards the baby.
Once getting to the car Shawn and I got in the back while Heidi and Emily got in the front.
"So what did your brother say last night?" Shawn asked, for some reason keeping his voice hushed as we began our journey to the fair.
"He was firstly shocked, then angry and then happy for me" I sighed, turning to look at him.
"Like me then" Shawn stiffled a short laugh causing me to faintly smile.
"My mum asked if you wanted her to bring anything for the gender reveal party?" Shawn said.
"Oh can she please make the cake, you're mum is so good at making cakes" I beamed a little too enthusiastically causing Shawn to chuckle.
"Ofcourse" Shawn continued to laughed before typing something into his phone, probably a text to his mum.
"Oh, and I haven't invited my dad" Shawn then said causing me to furrow my eyebrows as I looked up at him.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because he tore us apart, I don't want him around you Elle" Shawn replied causing me to let out a hazy sigh.
"He's your dad Shawn, he should be there" I insisted but Shawn just shook his head.
"He's not coming, and that's that" Shawn persisted.
I just rolled my eyes before taking my attention to the window. I understood why Shawn was mad at his dad, but I didn't think it was okay for him to not be invited to his own grandchild's gender reveal.

11:12am
We were finally at the baby fair and right now Shawn and I had split up from the girls to look at a selection of cribs.
"How about this one? It's pretty big" Shawn said as he stood holding onto a dark oak crib.
"I don't like the colour" I shook my head.
"What colour do you want?" Shawn asked.
"A white one" I replied, my hand naturally going to hold my baby bump.
"Okay, let me look" Shawn hummed before turning around and scanning his eyes around the large section of cribs.
I watched in awe as Shawn threw himself into the father role and searched for the crib I wanted for our baby. I felt so bittersweet about this whole experience.
On the one hand I felt blessed at the the fact that Shawn had threw himself into being a father, even after everything that's happened between us.
However, on the other hand, I was filled with great sadness that this pregnancy wasn't going to happen the same way I had always thought it would, with Shawn completely and constantly by my side.
"Found one!" Shawn beamed, snapping me from my thoughts.
Walking over to meet him he was now stood with a white crib, a little smaller then the other one.
"Love it" I smiled as I admired the pretty details of the crib.
"Okay then, write it down and we'll buy it on our way out" Shawn replied as I took my phone out and wrote down the name and number of the crib in my notes.
"Do you wanna go grab some lunch in the cafe here before we carry on? I haven't eaten breakfast" Shawn suggested.
"Well that's not good is it?" I mimicked from what he had said to me yesterday.
"Oh shh" Shawn playfully rolled his eyes causing me to smirk in amusement.
"Right, let's go eat" Shawn then smiled before taking my hand and pulling me towards the direction of the cafe.
I didn't even bother trying to take my hand out of his. To be honest, I think that sometimes Shawn forgets that we aren't a couple anymore. It's easier just to let him hold my hand then make everything awkward between us.
