Everyone had now gone home, leaving only Elle and I. Elle was sat on the chair beside my bed scrolling through her phone as I boredly sat there staring up at the celin.

"So..." I drifted, trying to break the horrible awkward silence in the room.

"Hmm?" Elle mumbled, looking up from her phone as I turned to face her.

"What do you wanna do?" I asked as she put her phone into her bag.

"Whatever you want" she simply shrugged causing me to look away in thought of what we could do.

"How about we do 21 questions? I mean I know you already know everything about me, but this way I can learn about you" I suggested.

"Okay" she nodded.

"Come sit on here" I said, patting infront of me as I crossed my legs so there was room for Elle to sit.

Elle then got up from her chair before climbing her way onto the bed and sitting opposite me, also crossing her legs.

"I'll start, what's your job?" I asked, resting my hands either side of me as I comfortably leant back a little.

"I'm a nursery school teacher" Elle answered, causing me to smile.

"Eh, that's cute" I said, Elle's soft laugh radiating from her lips.

"Okay, my turn. What is your favourite animal?" Elle then asked, my nose scrunching up as I rose my eyebrows at her.

"What?"

"My favourite animal, really?" I laughed as she rolled her eyes in response.

"I don't know what to ask you, I already know everything" Elle shrugged.

"Everything?" I asked, giving her a cautious look.

"Yes everything" Elle smirked.

I widened my eyes at her, part of me feeling embarrassed at what she could possibly know about me.

"I even know about the time when you tried-" Elle was about to spill before I quickly cut her off and leant forward and put my hand over her mouth.

Elle laughed under my hand as I gave her a wide eyed look at her actually knowing my most embarrassing story.

"Wouldn't I have told you to keep that story to yourself?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at her as slowly removed my hand from her mouth.

"Maybe, maybe not" Elle teased causing me to also roll my eyes.

Looking at Elle's amused face I couldn't help but burst out a short laugh at the thought of the story.

"How about you just ask me questions?" Elle suggested.

"Sure, okay" I nodded before shifting myself forward a little so I was more comfortbale.

"Do you have any siblings?" I asked.

"I have one older brother, Elliott" Elle replied.

"Oh, how was I meeting him?" I widened my eyes a little, knowing for well that I'd be nervous of meeting any girl's older brother.

Elle's laugh was so soft as she looked up from her lap and at me, her long brown curls falling breathtakingly down pass her face.

"You were okay, I mean you were super nervous and all but my brother loved you from the get go" Elle explained causing me to smile.

"How about your parents?" I asked, resulting in a sigh leaving her lips.

"Well you've never actually met my parents" Elle answered.

"How come?" I gently asked, not knowing if this was a fragile topic for her.

"It's a long story" Elle mumbled.

Reaching over to her I placed my hand gently on top of hers as it rested on her knee.

"I've got time" I smiled at her.

Her smile few bigger as she looked at me, it so genuine and thankful as her bug eyes beamed up at me.

"It's alot of drama Shawn, you ready for it?" Elle joked, obviously wanting to lighten up the conversation.

I couldn't help but laugh as I naturally began intertwining my fingers with Elle's.

"I'm always ready" I grinned as Elle glanced down at our hands before looking back up at me and smiling.

She then went on to tell me the story about her parents affair. Her Dad was cheating on her Mum with another married woman, while her Mum was also having an affair with her boss from work. When her parents both out about eachothers affairs they decided to stay together and cut off both partners they cheated with.

Elle and her brother cut all contact with their parents after that. Elle said she couldn't understand how two people who were suppose love eachother so much could do that to eachother, let alone still remain together.

"That's some crazy shit" I gasped, widening my eyes in shock of that ever happening.

"Yeah it is" Elle laughed softly, looking down at our hands.

"Do you miss them?" I asked after the laughter died down, taking my thumb and soothing it over the back of Elle's hand.

"Sometimes" Elle sighed, still looking down at hands.

"I miss what it use to be like before the truth came out"

"If it were up to you, would you rather the truth to have never come out?" I carefully asked, Elle's eventually coming up to mine.

"Selfishly yes, but the truth is their just as bad as eachother so they might aswell stay together" Elle answered as I understandably nodded along.

"Well let's hope you and I never end up like that" I teased causing Elle's face to heat up, immediately making me laugh.

"What happened to baby steps Shawn?" Elle asked, her tone also teasing as I smirked along.

"I'm just having a bit of fun" I chuckled as Elle lightly shakes her head.

"Did we ever talk about marriage?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Yeah, pretty often actually" Elle sadly smiled.

I just nodded before giving her a sympathetic smile, feeling so guilty and sorry for her at the fact that I could do nothing to remember.

"All I want is to remember you Elle, I promise you that I'm trying my hardest" I said softly, taking my other hand to hold Elle's chin and gently lifting it up so she was looking at me.

"Every night, I dream about you in ways that I could never possibly describe. These dreams I have about you make me feel things about you that just confuse me more and more everyday"

"Do you remember anything about me? Anything at all?" Elle asked, my eyes falling helplessly down to her plump lips.

"I do remember one thing" I whispered.

"How it felt to kiss you"

Also yesterday I was out at a restaurant and they were playing 'Because I Had You'. I nearly freaked out because that's the first time over ever heard it in public, I mean it's not even one of his hits!
