The reason why I lived.~Lexi

I remember being so down one day, and it felt okay to end my world. To make this hurting that my soul continued to feel to stop.

I didn't want to die, you see, because I knew I would miss so much. I just wanted a way out.

People always say "There's a light at the end of the tunnel"

Well.. This particular day the 'tunnel' was dark, lifeless, and deathening. I couldn't see where I was going and I did not want to see. I just wanted out. Out of a miserable life, out of the heartbreaking circumstances,

O U T.

This isn't the way Jesus wants us to go, but sometimes we're begging him to do so.

As I was sitting there on my bed.. Tears literally streaming down my face. Jesus spoke to me

"You're letting a temporary situation affect a permanent destination."

Talk about shivers down my spine..and he was so right!

The moment that I was about to commit suicide that one phrase from him just, stopped me. I can't really explain it to you other than the fact that the words he said were THAT powerful.

But let's think about this.. Our words are powerful too. You can either speak life into a person or death.

What are you speaking today?

My so called friends never built me up, they always told me

"You deserve it"

"Get over it"

"You're a mess"

Just because you don't understand what someone else is going through doesn't mean that you tear them down! Kindness is the best trait in my book.. make sure you spread that stuff everywhere!

The funny thing is, I never thought it would be me. I never thought I'd beg for a way out.. I never thought my circumstances would almost drive me to that point.

But what keeps me going is when I had the chance.. I didn't.

When you had the chance, you didn't. You lived & you're still living.

And you know what that tells me?

Girlies, we have a purpose! Jesus has such a purpose for us we cannot even fathom it right now..

I remember this saying my aunt told me during this time and she said:

"From great persecution comes great gifts."

So, each time you're persecuted, each time people try to cut you down.. Remember you've got something great coming. Just hold on dear one <3

Happier days are on the horizon!

I still have days when it's hard to get past, my past. But I am living as Jesus has called me to.. BIG 💘 I encourage you to do so too. Forget that boy, leave behind fake friends. It's time to do YOU
