Attarah groaned loudly as she wondered around a cute little Icelandic street, inspecting small items on tables with elderly men and women smiling cheerily at her. It felt like Christmas to her and it had proved to be an unwanted feeling considering she had brought any presents for anyone in the castle or outside of it.

She welcomed the day off, Aro had been dragging her around the place for days going to a variety of time consuming activities. Attarah found an adorable looking store and headed inside. She was vaguely aware that Alec and Demetri hovered not too far away in case she needed help.

The store was beautiful and made her smile. It was decorated with a Christmas theme and she wondered around the aisles, seeming to be one of the only people in the store. She came across an aisle packed full of baby toys and clothed but avoided it hastily as she headed to a dress aisle. She hoped to find a dress for Jane that had colour, the petite blonde only ever wore black.

Eventually Attarah found a dress tucked at the back of a rack in the store, it was blue and tight at the waist but flared from the hips perfectly. It fit Aro's dress code (which Attarah had only just discovered existed) she whispered for Alec under her breath and he entered the store a moment later, walking toward her.

"What do you think of this dress for Jane?" She asked and the twin assessed it with no emotion in his face before smiling and nodding. It took Attarah no time to get to the till and the lady smiled at her. Attarah had been given more spending money than she could ever use but it made her smile that for the first time in her life, she wasn't scraping the bottom of her purse to pay for things.

"Beautiful dress, for you?" The lady asked.

"No, for a very good friend of mine"

"A lucky friend indeed." The lady smiled and carefully bagged the dress, possibly slower than needed. Alec walked away and the lady seemed happy about it as she turned to Attarah  "you shall get your deepest wish darling Attarah, you need only work for it" the lady said and the future queen Frowner intensely.. How did the lady know her name? And how did the lady know she wanted something?

"I must now go" Attarah attempted to remain polite, acting as though she had not heard the lady. Outside in the street, Felix popped up, frowning deeply and placed his hand on the back of Attarahs shoulders...he had heard the lady. Hastily they headed away from the street and the dress bag was snatched from her hands, taken by Demetri as they reached the car.

"I don't understand what the big deal is, she must have just heard me talking to you three before I went in the shop and made up nonsense to scare me" Attarah attempted in confusion.

"You're wrong Attarah, that's Gweneth Nightstone, she's an allegedly powerful seer." Demetri explained softly, sat beside her in the back seat as they travelled to the house once more.

"A what?!" Attarah was now slightly angry. Why was it that everyone insisted to keep her in the dark for long amounts of time for no real reason. She frowned heavily in upset as they reached the house, she was just glad they would be returning to Italy in a few days.

However when she entered the house, she was proved wring and all of their luggage was stacked by the door. An impatient Aro waiting nervously against the door frame. The second they walked through the door, they were marched back out. She gave up asking questions, Aro merely stated that he had urgent business to attend to and she was in no position to contradict, she wanted to go home and when she said home...she didn't mean Italy.

It was her birthday soon, not that any of the kings seemed to notice, she didn't want to spend her eighteenth birthday in a castle where nobody cared. She wasn't going to mention her birthday, surely with their super memories they would know? She didn't mind, she no longer wished to celebrate her birthday, it was meaningless to her.

Somehow her holiday with Aro had sped along and was utterly useless. Skiing and hiding and snowboarding...all of it, yet it still all felt meaningless because Aro didn't even take part. He just sat back and watched her be grumpy without a single care in the world.

She couldn't wait to get back to Italy.
