I woke up for Fajr (Dawn) prayers, the sky was still dark. I went to make Wadhu (ablution with water, washing parts of our body, namely face, hands and feet with water in preparation for prayers). I peaked into Dad's room as I was heading back to mine and saw him already started his prayer.

I too went to my room and began my prayer. I still couldn't believe Dad had completely made up his mind about me not being involved in this, I mean, Alex had said my mother had left me behind.. That meant that my involvment in this is evident. But as I sat on my prayer mat comtemplating over all this, I knew in my heart my dad was right. This was a dangerous game and there was a high chance I could end up like my mother and that other person Alex was telling us about.. And as well as that, Dad knew he couldn't loose me as well, and I couldn't loose him either.. I would have thought the same as him if this whole situation was the other way round and he was the one getting in it deep.. I finished my prayer that read a Surah from the Qur'an, Surah Asr:

In the name of Allah, the most kind, the most merciful.

By time,                                                                                                                                                                     Indeed, mankind is in loss,                                                                                                                               Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

After that, I went back to sleep.

I woke up again at ten in the morning, brushed my teeth and went downstairs. I could smell my dad's famous omlettes half way down the staircase.. They were my absolute favourite.

"Salaam Alaikum (peace be on you) Dad," I said.

"Wa Alaikum Salaam (and peace be on you to)," Dad replied, taking the omlette out of the frying pan and putting it on my plate.

"Thanks Dad," I said and began eating.

"I know your still upset from last night," Dad said, choosing his words carefully.

"I understand Dad, we're all each other's got, we need to stick together," I said, and I really did understand.

"Thanks for understanding kid," Dad smiled, "I'm sorry it has to be this way.."

"It's not your fault dad," I said.

"So.., don't forget about dinner today," Dad said changing the subject

"Oh, yeah.." I remembered, disgruntled.

I opened my Facebook after breakfast and saw that Cailey was online, immediately she began to chat with me.

"Hi!" She wrote.

"Hey, how are you?" I typed back.

"I'm good, I was wondering if you're free today?" She asked.

"I am until seven, than I have to go out to dinner with my dad and his friend," I replied.

"Is it ok if you can help me out with prayers if you have time?" She typed.

"Dad, can I go over to a friend's house?" I asked.

"Who is she?" Dad questioned.

"Her name is Cailey," I answered.

"I don't know her.." Dad stated. "But she is welcome to come over,"

"Thanks Dad," I smiled.

"Ofc, you can come over right now." I typed
