Chapter 53

Hyunjin and Felix's room

"You really aren't gonna let this go, are you Ji?" Hyunjin says, as Jisung goes off on a banter.

Hyunjin and Jisung are sitting on Hyunjin's bed, while Changbin and Jeongin are sitting on chairs that the room has as an extra feature.

"I'm just saying Jinnie," he says. "We're basically superheroes, we need a cool superhero name for our team."

Hyunjin simply rolls his eyes. "Look, yes we have superpowers, but I don't wanna be fighting crime on a day-to-day basis." he says. "I just want a normal life."

"Jinnie," says Jisung. "We're anything but normal at this point."

"He does have a point." says Changbin. "Still, I think you're taking this a bit too far with the whole superhero thing."

"I don't feel super at all." says Jeongin. "These powers frighten me."

"It's ok Innie." Jisung tries to reassure him. "Joel will help you control your power. Besides, Minnie is your soulmate, so he can help too, right?"

At this point, Chan and the others walk into a conversation they weren't prepared for.

"Minho," Hyunjin says. "Try to talk some sense into my brother, please?"

"What's going on?" Minho says as he furrows in confusion.

Jisung gets off the bed to let Minho sit down, so that he can sit between Minho's legs. Minho then wraps his arms around Jisung's waist. Felix sits down next to Hyunjin, while Chan and Seungmin sit next to Changbin and Jeongin respectively.

"Jisung seems obsessed with coming up with a superhero name for us." Hyunjin says.

"What?" says Minho. "Squirrel, don't you think that's a bit much?"

"See Jisung?" Hyunjin says.

Jisung sticks his tongue out at Hyunjin. "Baby, you're supposed to be on my side!" he tells Minho.

"What did you have in mind Sungie?" Felix asks.

Jisung gives it a thought. "How about Stray Kids?" he says.

"Stray Kids?" Chan asks. "Why Stray Kids?"

"Well," says Jisung. "At first I thought of a lost child who wants to chase their dreams, but later I was thinking that it can represent the idea of finding a way together out of the ordinary."

"And Jisung says we're not ordinary anymore." Changbin adds.

"Exactly!" says Jisung. "So, what do you guys think?"

"I don't know what to think." says Jeongin. "I'm still at a loss of what's happening to us."

Seungmin holds Jeongin's hand. "I know you're scared Innie." he says. "I'm scared too, but not matter what happens, I'll be here for you."

A tear slides down Jeongin's cheek, but he quickly wipes it away. "Thank you Minnie." he says. "At least you don't have to worry about getting powers."

"Not yet." says Hyunjin.

"What do you mean?" Jeongin asks.

"Joel said that just because Seungmin doesn't have powers at the moment, doesn't mean he doesn't have any. says Hyunjin.

"He was able to keep your power under control when you attacked those men." said Minho. "And his powers haven't even awakened yet."

"If Minnie didn't have powers, he wouldn't be able to keep yours under control.' says Felix. "This just further proves that we're all soulmates, bound together by fate."
