Over a week had passed and things were beginning to settle. Unfortunately, that only meant boredom was going to inevitably take hold.

Amber was very much bored. Her mind was set in one place, going round and round in circles with the same dull ideas and scenery.

She stood from a luxurious couch with a sharp huff, blowing a strand of hair away from her face.

Six years. That's how long she had been in Atlas, seeing the same thing, talking to the same people. It was the worse thing imaginable for someone of her caliber.

And today, today she's finally had enough. It was written all over her face and telegrammed in her movements.

Fria, enjoying a late night showing of Remnant news, raised a brow at her sudden movement.

"Amber." She said, her voice slow and cautious.

"Yeah?" She relied, pulling her long hair into a loose ponytail.

"What are you doing?" The elder Maiden set down a cup of hot chocolate, her gaze still set on Amber as she wrapped a forest green cloak around her shoulders.

"Going out." She replied casually.

"Amber..." Fria sighed, rubber the bridge of her nose. "You know you can't."

"I know." The younger Maiden grabbed her staff, collapsing it and setting it on the back of her waist band. "You gonna try to stop me?"

Fria's eyes narrowed, scanning the younger woman with a judgmental gaze that slowly turned approving.

With her drink again in hand, Fria simply replied while sipping her sweet drink.

"Nope."

Growing a wide grin of joy, Amber reach over the couch to hold Fria in a tight yet quick hug.

"Thank you!" She cheered, whipping around and sprinting out of the room.

"Don't forget your scroll!"

Fria rolled her eyes when the little devise beside her levitated then zipped out of the room, following Amber.

Snatching and pocketing her scroll, Amber continued her run, making an immediate left then right to arrive at the outer courtyard Fria often painted at.

She didn't slow, in fact, she sped up as she neared the edge, it was until she was near did she jump clean over the railing.

Six years of hard training made what she did next a cake walk, or to put it more accurately, a relief to her boredom.

A massive burst of air from behind propelled her forward, shooting her toward the tall bright towers of Atlas.

She sailed through the air, falling rapidly and just grazing an upper tower.

Her aura kept her warm throughout the frigid winds. No matter how much she wanted to feel the cool breeze in her hair, she was certain her lungs would freeze before she landed.

Another close call with a skyscraper was taken advantage of, the split second passing was spent with her fingers just grazing a wall of glass.

A few more seconds and she had to rely on her magic again, slowing her descent into an alleyway where she landed, pulled up her hood, and blended in with a crowd of upperclassman.

The light of an overhead streetlight casted a shadow over her face, hiding the excited grin on her face and dilated pupils.

The large dose of adrenaline she felt was refreshing, literally and metaphorically giving her a much needed breath of fresh air.
