Peter sits on the bar stool with bloodshot eyes and little hiccups as he nurses a glass of water, avoiding eye contact with Tony and Steve. 

"Does May know?" Tony asks and Peter shakes his head, "No, the only people that know now are everyone in this room." he says with his head still down, he's embarrassed and slightly ashamed. He can't bear to look Steve or Tony in the eye. It's like a weight is on his neck, forcing him to look at the glass of water in his hands. 

 Steve sighs, "Did you not learn anything about what Dr. Lu said to us about drug use. Peter, this isn't good. You're not even allowed to buy this stuff legally, you're a damn teenager. Where did you even get this?" he asks and Peter now feels like he's at a cross.

What will happen if he tells them who his dealer is? Will they get in trouble? They are technically underage, you have to be twenty-one in New York to smoke marijuana. Peter sighs, "Just from a friend, " Peter says quietly. "What's their name?" Tony asks. Fuck.

"I-I'm n-not gonna s-say, " Peter stutters, very nervous. Fuck, he feels so bad now. A twisting feeling in his gut, his heart pounding in his chest. Thor stands up and speaks for Peter, "Stark, Steven, let the boy be. He's young, experimenting. I remember when I was a young lad with Loki, we used to rise all sorts of trouble across the Nine Realms-"

"No one cares Thor, this is a crime in New York. Peter could've gotten in serious trouble with not only the law but with Fury. He could've lost his title as Spiderman if Nick found this out. He's 16, the state law is 21 years old to smoke marijuana. I mean fuck Peter, what if we had a drug test coming up and they found this in your system, what then?" Tony scolds and Peter blushes red, embarrassed, humiliated. 

"I'm sorry, " he says meekly. "You're dropping this habit, and you're telling your aunt, " Steve says and pinches the bridge of his nose. Peter sighs and keeps his head now. Natasha sighs, "Steve, Tony, I really think you're being too harsh on him, " she says and Tony looks over at Natasha incredulously. "Can I speak to you in private?" Tony asks and tells Peter to stay put. 

"Steve, you come too, " Natasha says and the three of them walk into a hallway alone. "You're not helping Natasha, " Tony says and she scoffs, "Look you should be grateful he's acting like this." Steve sighs, "You want him to act like that, Natasha he's doing drugs while underage." he says and she smiles.

"Guys, he's acting like a fucking teenager. He's acting like a dumb, experimental teenage boy. You should be grateful that he's acting his age and not as an adult. Because I'll tell you what, I got that portion of my life ripped away from me. I was never able to be a dumb kid, I had to grow up fast. I've been an adult since the day I could walk. Now pull your head out of your ass, both of you, and be a little grateful. Really, you two are more worried about him smoking pot than him fighting enemies on the front line, "  Natasha scolds and Tony looks down at the floor.

"Of course we worry about him when he goes on missions, " Steve says and Natasha huffs, "Well you two look more concerned about him than you have every time he's been on a mission. And Tony, I don't know why you're being so damn frustrated at Peter. I'm sure you did the same dumb shit when you were his age." 

Tony looks up and crosses his arm tight across his chest, "Yeah I did, but I want him to be better than me." Natasha groans, "Tony! I know you care a lot about Peter. I know that he's like the son you never had. But he isn't your son, he isn't your legacy, Peter is his own individual person. He's a growing life, and the path he chooses is for him to decide."
