Signing Buddies! ~ Clint Barton

request- Peter is babysitting his eleven-year-old sister, Penelope, who is deaf and communicates through sign language. While at a shooting range, she and Clint have a bonding moment.

Clint ran through a narrow hallway with Natasha not too far behind him. There was a hail of bullets firing past them, it was a fucking miracle neither of them was hit yet. Natasha unclipped an explosive and threw it behind her. Screams of agents come to an abrupt stop when the grenade exploded. 

Clint groaned when his hearing aid ringed into his ear. They turned a corner and to Clint's unfortunate demise, an agent was standing at the corner and he punched Clint right in the chest, having him get tossed through the air and to a concrete wall. He hit his head, knocking himself unconscious and his hearing aids also fell out of his ears and broke.

Natasha was left to neutralize the threat and get Clint to help. This agent was tall, and definitely no normal agents. He was strong, too strong, he single-handed punched Clint and had him fly across the room and hit a wall. He was probably Super-Soldier. Natasha had to be cautious with this, if she were to end up like Clint they would both be in some serious trouble. 

She ran and jumped off the hallway wall and onto the agent's shoulders, she hooked her legs around his neck and tried to use her momentum to swing him around to the floor. But he was too strong, she pulled a Widow's Bite from her wrist and held it to his neck, it shocked him and shocked her a little bit as well. She groaned as she fell to the floor. The agent was either very dead from the electric shock, or very injured. Either way, Natasha had to get Clint out of here. 

She double-tapped on her earpiece and called out to Tony, "Tony, I need help. Clint's down and not waking up anytime soon, " Natasha says as she tries to tap on Clint's face to wake him up. "Stay put Nat, I'll be there soon, " says Tony. Natasha calls out Clint's name and gets no response. She sees his hear aids on the floor and picked them up in their mangled form carefully, placing them in a pouch and continuing to try and wake up Clint. 

Soon, Tony dives in through the ceiling, making a hole, and comes walking down. "Sheesh, he ain't looking good, " he says and has F.R.I.D.A.Y. scan for injuries. "It appears Agent Barton has a fractured sternum and rubs three to five are broken. He also has around a Grade 2 and 3 concussion."

"I don't think I'm gonna be able to pick him up Nat, we'll gonna need a stretcher. I'm calling in medics, I can get him on the roof, but it's to gonna be a good idea for me to move around too much, " he says and scoops Clint's limp body into his arms and flies up slowly to the top of the building so the medical jet can pick him up.

Medical doesn't take too long to show up. You can see Dr. Cho and Dr. Banner on the jet, looking below as they send down a stretcher. Natasha and Tony situate Clint carefully and securely onto it and he gets pulled up. Clint's eyes open carefully for a moment when he comes to consciousness but falls back asleep moments later. Tony holds Natasha close to him and flies up to the jet and sits down next to Bruce, Natasha takes a seat next to Helen. The jet doors shut and Bruce and Helen begin to work on situating him, they cut off to shirt and Helen looks over the bruising in the area and hooks an ibuprofen IV into his arm, and injects an anesthetic into his ribs to help with swelling and whatever pain he'll be in when he wakes up. 

"I'll have to conduct a series of tests when he wakes up, we'll do that once we are back at the Headquarters, " Bruce says and makes sure Clint's head is stable in between two soft blocks with Velcro straps over it, keeping it together. "How did this happen?" he asks and Natasha looks up at Bruce, " We turned a corner and there was a Super Solider there waiting for us, he punched Clint in the chest and sent him across the hallway to the wall, " says Natasha as she pulls out Clint's hearing aids, "These fell out and are broken."
